The Sorcerous Ways of the Moon Tribe!

Hail Savages!

The Moon Tribe has begun to rise!

Now it's time to see what the guardians really bring to the table.

If we reach $910k all backers will get the cards necessary to play the Tribe of Bul'Gar, including their 8 Tribe cards and 6 Upgrade cards!

Bul'Gar Tribe cards.
Bul'Gar Tribe cards.

The Tribe of Bul'Gar is unique in many ways. They are powerful sorcerers with mystic powers over mind and soul. This arcane knowledge is reflected by the fact that they don't have only one Shaman among them, but also a Shaman Champion and a Shaman Prince (meaning their Champion and Prince also count as Shaman for the purpose of special abilities). Most of their powers are centered around these enchanters.

The most unique and game-changing of these powers is their ability to Take Control of an enemy figure. The Tribe of Bul'Gar should always be played as the tribe without colored counter bases (they like to keep their feet on the ground). So when they use their power to take over an enemy, that figure's counter base is removed and it becomes a figure of the Tribe of Bul'Gar for all intents and purposes, until the end of that battle.

Bul'Gar tribe-specific Upgrades,
Bul'Gar tribe-specific Upgrades,

The tribe-specific Upgrades of the Tribe of Bul'Gar are also quite different. They all apply only to their Shaman (Shamans? Shamen? Shawomen?). Most of them act like a temporary curse to them, giving them a penalty. However, when they KO an enemy, they may switch their Upgrade with their victim's Upgrade, gaining a new Skill and leaving their opponent with a penalty they'll have to bear until their either overlap it with a new Upgrade, or die.

After that, let's go for someone who can wield these amazing powers:

If we reach $940k all backers will get the Champion of the Tribe of Bul'Gar, including her figure and card! As explained above, this is actually a Shaman Champion, able to wield the mystic powers of the moon.

I love this tribe quite a bit. Already toying with color combos to pain-t them. 💖

@Lane: Absolutely true. If you don't get it now, you either pay ebay prices or you will never have it ... something that CMON also knows very well.

@Weresheep of Sin: In general I would say you are right. I would only pledge 120$ and if I like the game get more later. But as this is Kickstarter Exclusive... its kinda hard to get the other stuff later (price x5-10 on ebay probably), so in that case the decision is a bit harder.

@zupalex: after a number of CMON Kickstarters I firmly believe they have a very good idea what they want to give the backers and it is pretty independent of how well the KS does or not (take a look at how they changed the gaps between stretch goals depending on how fast the money is rolling in). They have x number of stretch goals and are "stretching" them to cover the amount raised in the Kickstarter, increasing the gaps or decreasing them.
The costs for the stretch goals have already been figured into the base pledge - I would never pay $120 for the base offering here before stretch goals.
I got my Green Horde yesterday (the basic box, the stretch goals will come later) ... looking at the basic box, I'd say I would be willing to pay around $70 (and I'd probably have a good chance of getting it for that price from a shop somewhere) for it, but definitely not $100 or even $120 ... the difference covers the stretch goals.
Before anybody gets the wrong idea: I'm in here with more than a base pledge, I love a number of the miniatures (the game looks a bit simplistic to me, but that might be due to the fact that there is only one game play video and I'm pretty bad at interpreting rule books).
But I think that 30k will be a drudge over the weekend, killing a lot of momentum this Kickstarter had ... then again, CMON are the real professionals here with lots of experience (didn't keep them from making mistakes, for example at the beginning of this Kickstarter concerning what number of players this game was really for). So maybe they have such a great add-on in store that covering 30k is nothing ... Another add-on? Slowly but surely (or even not so slowly), they are really milking the backers here (not me, I can walk a way from add-ons as I'm sure a lot of people here can, but a number of backers seem to obsessively have to have it all ... and yeah, you could say it's their problem, add-on choices are great).

A question. When you read in the cards "warrior" refers only to warrios and not other miniatures, right? (nor youngblood, nor champion... etc)

Great tribe. Should not her weapon be bigger? In the drawing of Adrian Smith is bigger, right ?.

"Getting greedy"? I mean come on... look at what you have in the box. Eventually you have to pay for the content they cannot provide you free stuffs for ever. I don't know how people do their math.

Cool gameplay stuff, but I have to say that a stretch goal about just the cards feels kind of a cheap move...

the last 48h alone will generate about 200k+, think even way more, so japp, they expecting it ^^

    17. Marco Mejia

I love the updates, but in the previous tribe you released the cards AND two figures in the same stretch, and it was a 10K stretch. The gaps are getting larger here... At this rythm, are you expecting the campaign to generate at least +200K in the next 4.5 days to get the full tribe (assuming you dont include extra mercenaries in between the gaps)? Its an honest question.

    18. Weresheep of Sin AKA Stefan

while I like what I'm seeing of the new tribe, I feel CMON is getting a bit greedy again with the gaps between stretch goals. 30k from the cards to the miniature? It's weekend and even during the week this project was not breaking records (not doing too badly, admittedly).
