Hunt in the shadows with the Shaktaar of the Tribe of Vore Nash!

Hail Savages!

The time has come to add to the game a tribe of a people that have been long awaited by those who know the lore of HATE!

For $25 this Kickstarter Exclusive Optional Buy gives you the full Tribe of Vore Nash. These dragon-people known as the Shaktaar are highly sofisticated hunters that will bring whole new strategies to the game!

The Tribe of Vore Nash Optional Buy comes with:

  • 11 Highly Detailed Miniatures
  • 11 Figure Cards
  • 8 Tribe Cards
  • 6 Transparent Upgrade Cards
  • 1 Counter Base for the oversized Champion
  • 10 Bait Tokens

Let's delve into the ways of the Shaktaar.

What of the Shaktaar, that ancient enemy, the proud dragon-men? Where once shining cities stood like jewels across the mountains and plains, now only shattered rocks crumbled on barren earth. Once home to a proud people, now but the most silent refuge.

Yet, only fools entered such places, lured by lust. Not lust for gold or silver, worthless metals without redemption. Lust for iron. This was man's undoing in the age of death. For the Shaktaar lurked where once they ruled, and stalked interlopers unseen.

The dragons were artful, cunning and insidious. They had but to lay their traps, and wait. More so than men, the Shaktaar required meat. Human flesh, once a delicacy, became the staple, all too willing to deliver itself for want of treasure.

The Shaktaar's great cities now lie shattered. As men started raiding their ruins in search for treasure, the Dragon-Men learned to set traps, hide in the shadows, and strike when it's least expected. Under the leadership of the imposing Vore Nash, the tribe endured the hardships of the world, luring their enemies and consuming their bodies.

Battling the Tribe of Vore Nash is very different from fighting anybody else. While they are certainly formidable warriors, the Shaktaar favor subterfuge over head-on engagement. They are able to Hide away, disappearing from their enemy's sight, only to suddenly strike from the shadows with devastating effect!

The other unique aspect of the Tribe of Vore Nash is their ability as trappers. This tribe comes with 10 new Bait tokens, including Minor Baits and Major Baits. The back of each token features different bounties (like gain Hate, Moves or Toughness) or traps (like lose Savagery, Resource, Dice, or be KO'd), waiting for the enemy who wonders into it. Bait tokens are usually placed randomly by certain Tribe cards, daring the enemy to investigate them at their own risk. The Shaktaar may also gain knowledge of what lies hidden under certain Baits, thus trying to lure or push enemies onto the most deadly ones.

If it’s a tribe of lizard men, where are the tails of the hall of the tribe ?

Nice lizards. Seriously, who thought this could be a SG? For free? nah!! This is what people is waiting for, therefore, they need to pay for it!

These looks so cool. Quite possibly the best set yet for this game.

I hope there is a 'gives us everything' add-on, because that makes it easier to decide what I want ;-)

      WHAAAT?! this is awesome!

have they consider maybe to do an optional buy which could include all the other tribes that could cost maybe a little less but that could be for the ones that want to buy everything of this game?

Is there any chance that Adrian Smith will allow for an epub version of the source material to be added to the Kickstarter?

    8. Kill-Krazy on

@PK they had great cities that fell to ruinous powers (Tyrant).

This is the tribe I have been waiting for.

So, given the apocalyptic savagery of this world, how do they have the skills and resources to make/forge such elaborate & intricate arms and armor? Must be magic! xD

The only thing that could make this update even better is if it would be an SG..
But absolutely awesome tribe and will for sure add this one to my pledge (and most likely the other tribes too...)

First of all i wuold say that i don't have any problem to pledge everything but i'm completely agree with @S Buntenbach cause contents/price for this project is not really good.
I think the upgrade tokens and second set would be an add-on(for who want to play with 4 players or two different battles simoultaneously) and with that strech goals we can unlock a full new tribe cause you must have to spend us for a new gameplay contents, and add variety of choice trough the strech goal... not the opposite.
With an all-in pledge about 200$ probably we' ve already near 1 million funds(over 1K people pledge only 1$).
Say this...it's a really cool tribe and i pledge it waiting a future all-in...i hope.

Are the tokens for the new clan going to be plastic? I think that if they are going to be a secret-reveal, then having plastic tokens that won't get marked is important. I also think that, if the rest of the game is going to have plastic tokens, then these should match!

Keep the add-on's coming, I love them! Anyone doesn't like them, they don't have to buy them, perfect solution for optionally expanding the game.

Man, this is bleeding me dry..XP I totally agree with @Corey Hastings, this is becoming really expensive all at once, it would be nice to have some alternatives.. And I'm guessing you guys still have some additional stuff for us to buy..

Was already wonderin' where the lizards are. Amazing figurines. I'm happy :)

It mentions people familiar with the lore, but I'm not sure where to look to become familiar. The actual books are sparse on lore. Any info on where to find this additional info?

This is the kind of update that makes my wallet bleed.

I really like this set! But I am with @Weresheep. For not going to retail where we can purchase the expansions at another time, this is becoming quite a heavy all-at-once investment if we want all of the more interesting tribes. Like @S Buntenback suggests, will there be in all in pledge that encompasses everything, and will it be at a discount? I really like where this game is going, and I want to have it all, but that is a lot of up front cost (especially with toddler and baby!).

    21. Stuart Henry on

I love how these add-ons are Kickstarter exclusives when the whole game is a Kickstarter exclusive

So ... we get some clans as free stretch goals (which is nice), but the more interesting clans are paid add-ons (which is understandable, but not nice) ...
