Hail Savages!

As we make our way closer to unlocking the mighty mercenary Tun'Dor, and then expanding the components for two simultaneous battles, I believe it's time to unveil our first Optional Buy of the campaign!

For $25 this Kickstarter Exclusive Optional Buy gives you the full Tribe of Um'Tull. This brand new tribe brings its own unique miniatures and abilities to the fray, further enriching your gameplay experience. With this new tribe, and with the Um'Gorr tribe very close to being fully unlocked for all backers, it becomes possible for 6 players to take part in the same epic Chronicle. 6 tribes come in, but only one will emerge victorious!

The Tribe of Um'Tull Optional Buy comes with:

  • 11 Highly Detailed Miniatures
  • 11 Figure Cards
  • 8 Tribe Cards
  • 6 Transparent Upgrade Cards

Now let's get to know them a little better.

Corruption lay at the world’s dying heart, a putrid spirit that spread easily to flesh. Nothing proved immune, not even the hulking Varn. Once afflicted, a mere man must perish, by his own blade if he be loyal, his flesh burned to ash and scattered far, far from the tribe by the oldest and expendable among them.

Of the Varn, they had but their blood and will to check the rot, to remain themselves. Though madness sat their shoulder and whispered in their ear, they did not heed its words. No good ever came from self-pity, no solace from ignoring a harsh truth.

For the wisest among them, the only choice was exile, self-imposed, to submit themselves to chains of their own will. Let another judge them as the rot ran its course, another of the same mighty blood and spirit. One could accept Fate without embracing her. Was it trust? Or practicality? In rare instance, both could be found, even as the world burned.

As the world died and festered, the Tribe of Um'Tull did not let themselves fall into this madness. For the wisest ones, the only solution was exile. In order to survive, they developed a deep knowledge on what was left of nature, twisting it to their purpose in the form of potions and, most of all, deadly poisons.

The main characteristic of the Um'Tull is their use of devious poisons to bring down their enemies. Their attacks and interactions often result in attaching a Tribe card to an opponent, causing some terrible effect that may spread and kill opponents even if they weren’t KO’d.

Kinda wished 'A Worthy Death' title was changed to 'Witness Me!'

@Christian You just add the money for your optional buys. After the campaign is done, you are going to get asked which one do you want

How do you back/pledge for this product?
If you make a $145 Tyrant Pledge, does this mean you´ll also get this amazing product?

Are there any card sleeves for the character cards in this tribe-expansion?

I think these guys will be killer to play. I think a SG Clan and an additional buy clan is their way ahead, follows Rising Sun. It is a pretty niche game theme. I mean you are putting the opposing team characters in an oven. That being said this looks like a great post apocalyptic game of survival.

I received an emails stating they were making this available... thought it was a personal summons !

    8. GP on January 18

Yep! This will be the tribe that I play ...

was also hoping this was going to be similar to The Others. Stretch goals opened up other 5 sins, wish stretch for this one would have opened other 4 tribes. going to be an additional $100 now??

@Andrew Writt: Nothing has changed, note the wording: "6 players to take part in the same epic Chronicle". A chronicle is not a battle.

I suspect this tribe was normally planned as stretch goals. But now, as the campaign goes slow, they give us this as optional buy, to raise the pledge sum. Only a thought of mine."

      I think too

    15. Akira on January 18

at least the price aint too bad. i'd love some zombicide black plague crossover action (or blood rage or rising sun)

I'm fine with optional buys, but these miniatures were shown in front of the base game last year, you can still see it on BGG. I recognize the female on the wolf right away. I'm honestly not sure how I feel about that. You shouldn't advertise optional buys or stretch goals ahead of time as if they are guaranteed available.

That being said, they do look great. I like the card play of this one.

      @Draelin

      Same here my friend...

Campaign is not at the level of what they planned, that's the reality. They will spend SGs putting additional items for the so-called "second board"

seem to realize that they can not do 2 whole clans of SG's right ?!

    19. zupalex on January 18

That's exactly what I thought when seeing this add-on. Might be wrong though.

So great! Give us more minis like these! Tribes, tribes, tribes!
      Could we get a Amazon-like female-only tribe?

    22. Mark-Ders on January 18

      Awesome add-on.

Pay no attention to the 'azijnpissers'.

    23. wikiro on January 18

Usually taken by Rogland Studios work but this is a bit low par for them. The mini quality must be really bad if Rogland cant make them look good.

    24. Andrew Writt on January 18

LOL. A way to play with 6 players before there is even a way to adequately play with 4 players! This keeps getting better and better. Compared to how other offerings have been run by CMON this one is just not adding up. You guys are better than this.

    25. GhettoBlaster on January 18

      This game gonna be expensive.
I think to leave on Nemesis...

    26. Justin Stevens on January 18

So do we need to increase our pledge or wait for pledge manager thingy?
