Battle at the Mummer's Ford: A New Playmat Option!
Valar Dohaeris, bannermen!
We've just hit the $915k mark and unlocked the Mercenaries Tactics Deck for all backers with a Hand of the King pledge. We now officially have a third faction in the game!
You can find detailed information of this deck of cards in this previous UPDATE!
Next up, as we revealed before, we'll start working towards the final part of the Stark Longbowmen:
If we reach $955k, all backers will unlock 8 additional Stark Longbowmen miniatures along with their Movement Tray to complete the box of Stark Longbowmen!
And to continue to broaden our selection of Optional Buys, we prepared a new playmat that we'd like to offer:
Battle at the Mummer's Ford
The 'Battle at the Mummer's Ford' playmat is an item exclusive to Kickstarter and Organized Play, with remaining stock available at conventions and special promotions only.
The 'Battle at the Mummer's Ford' Playmat comes in two 2 x 4 feet neoprene pieces, 2mm thick, so it can be more easily stored and transported. The two pieces come together to form a single 4 by 4 feet area to enrich your ASOIF:TMG experience and features the landscape of the battle where The Mountain intercepted his enemy's retreat and killed almost everyone, including many of Eddard Stark's men!
If you're interested in purchasing this optional buys, please just click the "Manage Your Pledge" button on the A Song of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game Kickstarter page and in the pledge manager add $35. We'll sort out what your extra money is going towards after the campaign has closed and we've sent out our Pledge Manager.
Still on the topic of playmats, we've heard that many of you wanted to see the first playmat we offered,'Battle in the Whispering Woods' feature less trees and large rocks in the center area, making for a cleaner battleground. Well, we brought the best crew of lumberjacks in Westeros and worked on the scenery :)
We've replaced some of the trees and bulkier rocks from the center of the field with more natural elements, adding patches of mud following watery areas, gravel and dirt, as well as some nice little touches, such as a hastily abandoned campfire and a trampled banner.
And there you have it, bannermen! Remember...
When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die.
