      >The thing that frustrates me most on this campaign is that we litteraly know nothing.
What frustrates me most is that CMON has probably planned out this campaign to provide Stretchgoals that dwarf Rising Sun - so many, that they had to put the starter price at $150. If all they planned for the campaign would be visible and available for the base pledge, people would jump all over it. But as its hidden behind SGs, not enough jump in at the current return.
I see two solutions out of this mess:
1.) Restart with a better plan
2.) Publish ALL planned Stretchgoals, set the SG sum at 3 million (or so) and then see what happens.
Or not. At the current rate and content, the base box will struggle at $150 (even in retail), and KS backers will not be happy if its available much cheaper later on.
I am a miniature collector (more of a messy), a tabletop-gamer (currently 6 active systems with dozens of armies) and GRRMartin fan (for some 30 years). I have backed several (though not all) of the latest CMON-campaigns. If I (and probably others like me) do not throw my budget in the direction of this campaign, something is seriously awry.

Yeah I think I'm out. This might seem like a silly reason, but man these minis are boring. It's just a bunch of normal dudes. I don't think I'm willing to drop hundreds of dollars for that.

I'm definitely off, guys. Really like the idea, but I'm not willing to spend this kind of money in a bunch of miniatures. I know I'd like to buy in the future at least a couple of houses more, so we're talking 300 bucks total, not to mention shipping charges and add ons... got plenty of cool games waiting for me to play, I can skip this very one!

    4. Ian short on

If you buy 2 starter packs you can sell the faction You aren't going to play and make some money back. Buying a 2nd starter will give you 4 units plus 1 mercenary unit for the same price as if you bought them all separately, if you sold the other half of your starter it would work out as $15 per unit plus you would have some non-unique attachments as well. If we get another unit as a stretch goal then the cost would drop to $12.50 per unit.

Starter sets are always cheaper if you're looking at cost per unit. That's not a surprise. But if you're just looking to beef up one army for competitive play, it makes sense to add a couple units.

I'm not planning on getting anything more than a single starter box, but I don't see the wisdom in buying two as opposed to a couple more specific units for just one faction.

    6. Ian short on

$35 a box at retail is too much. $35 for 4 horsemen of $25 for 4 runewars horsemen. It's not encouraging me to buy in to this game.

    7. David Smith on

You have add on's so you can get multiple of units you want that may or may not be in the starter, that includes the doggies, want another unit then buy it, it's not really that difficult is it?

    8. Akira on

150 gets you two copies plus a ton of SGs we haven't seen yet that needs to include at least a giant , a dragon or another complete army for this campaign to be a success. (just look at what went along with Arcadia Quest Inferno or The Others, two much cheaper games) so getting these add-ons with no KSE bonuses seems pretty silly

    9. Gavin Meakings on

Second starter is way to go if you plan to get armies for both Stark and Lannister especially if we unlock some further additional units.

    10. Jakob on

So, in other words, it's cheaper to add a second starter set. By adding another $150 you would be getting $270 worth of troops. Plus by adding another starter you will be getting twice the amount of SGs (If that's how that works). I understand that there are some who would just like to buy, say, 3 units of Umber Berserkers or Mountain's Men, but the overall value isn't really that good.

    11. Gavin Meakings on

Char. The three stretch goals were to unlock a free copy of the expansion. The add on is for those who want extra copies, nothing has changed for you.

I think you're confusing getting something free and spending $30 on it being same thing.

      Zsuth on

No, I definitely got that part. It's just a nonsensical thing to get bent out of shape about.

    14. Char Aznable on

Missing the point completely, it's scummy that they acted like we unlocked it via three stretch goals then made it an addon anyway.

    15. Jason on

Saying something is scummy for getting free extras is ridiculous.

Checking FAQ, seems all stretch goals are included with another base game purchase.

@Glen- you're going to be waiting awhile. This campaign is Stark/Lannister, their allies, and mercs. Unless they offer a whole other house as an add on at the end, but I'm not holding my breath.

Buying one of each unit pack again costs 210 while another base game with all of them (not sure about the Bolton's Bastard Girls as it was a stretch goal) is 150, I understand 30 each if you only want one or two. Perhaps a one of each bulk price would be better, or buy any 2/3/4 etc for a discount.

      Zsuth on

@char- I don't think I understand the issue. We're all getting that $30 box for free. If you want another, it's $30.

    20. Glen Lamb on

We are all stupid, we've backed the project haven't we? I'm just waiting for Dothraki, Unsullied and Dragons.

    21. feanor2k

CMON do you think we are all stupid? Seriously!

    22. Glen Lamb on

May as well just pledge for 2 starters. AMIRIGHT? Im right.

    23. Akira on

are they over-pricing or is George RR just making them pay so much for licensing? i wonder how many pledges are on shaky ground? this many add-ons with zombicide or rising sun would have smashed a SG within an hour

    24. Enrico Magazzino on

Yeah... just wondering why I should buy update packs and not another base game instead...

    25. Missing avatar

      Mirko Lang on

30$ for 4 horse minis seriously?? 5 update packs =150$. Another basegame with all Sgs = 150$...

    26. Groo the mendicant on

@ CMON. FYI I noticed the KSE tag is off the one terrain set. Is that a typo?

    27. Missing avatar

      Remy van Vliet

Alex, just buy another pledge! 9 units (plus extra's) for $150 => $16.67/unit...

      I'm considering 2-3 pledges...

    28. Michael Sprague

Pass.... Something like this, at these prices, and no bonus - I'll wait for retail.

    29. Char Aznable on

It is scummy when they pretend to have to unlock it via stretchgoals first then shove it up as an addon anyway.

    30. Gavin Meakings on

@Char. You get the unit for free from stretch goals. The add on is just for those who want to purchase extra copies (which quite a few people have asked for). Nothing scummy about it.

    31. Char Aznable on

You turned 3 stretch goals into an addon anyway. Ultra scummy tbh. I swear since spencer left these CMON kickstarters are getting worse.

    32. euansmith

Will there be a couple of bundles for Stark and Lannister; say $75 for three units? Otherwise things are getting rapidly very expensive if you are trying to buy both sides to get other players interested?
