Thank you so much for visiting this page and offering your support of our music and our mission. We have been waiting a long time for this (and many of you have, too). The wait is finally over! We’re recording our first full-length album…with a little help from our friends.
That’s right, this only happens because of you. You, and your neighbors, your co-workers, your classmates, your family, your friends, even your enemies…EVERYONE is invited to partner with us. We believe that music is a great common ground for people of all walks of life. It crosses over generations and cultures. We want to shed light on the Truth while reaching people creatively with melodies that feel familiar and songs that touch souls. How do we do this? By making our music available to as many people as possible. Up until now, most of our music has only been available in a live context. With the launching of our first ever Kickstarter campaign, we look forward to rallying with you to record and release a full collection of work that we are very proud of and excited to share with all of you.
Here’s how it works. We all “win” if we meet or exceed our goal of $20,000 in 30 days. A penny short a minute too late and we don’t get any of the pledged money. This number may seem huge to you, but we promise you in the world of recording albums, our budget is incredibly modest and thrifty. We hope to raise much more than this if possible, as that would open up many more doors for promoting, marketing, and distributing the record…as well as the possibility of recording more songs, shooting music videos, etc. And we only have until 30 days to reach our financial goal! In partnership with Kickstarter, we have developed a great collection of creative fan packages and experiences for each of you (our fans) who want to pledge towards the new album. Check them out…there’s something for everyone!
We are now in our fourth year of making music as a band, and it seems like so much has happened and so much has changed in that short amount of time. While many bands receive money from a record label to cover the costs of recording, we remain an independent band. We have had opportunities to record and release music in the past (the two EPs), but we’re at a point in our young careers that we don’t want to do this unless we can do it with excellence and represent the God we serve in the most excellent way possible. Every song matters to us, down to every note, emotion, and lyric. Kickstarter has afforded us a unique opportunity to blaze a new trail. What if our fans WERE our record label? What if our supporters WERE our marketing and promotions team? Many label artists are given money for recording, distribution, radio, etc. But what if all of that was attainable through all of you? It could change the way music is made and consumed. It already is…
Again, we’re thrilled that you are here and are so grateful for your support. Please, please, please be sure to spread the word. Now let’s get to it!
VLOG UPDATE #1
Risks and challenges
The only risk we can see would be general "production delays". The challenge is keeping everything on schedule. We believe that we have learned a ton from our previous experiences over the last 4 years, especially from our times in different recording studios. Also, our management team will do all they can to keep things on schedule. That said, sometimes it can be hard to predict some of those "unknown" variables that slow things down. We will most definitely keep in close contact with our backers on production schedule. If something is delayed we will handle the problem as soon as possible and notify backers of any and all updated information while fulfilling everything else that is ready to go. Thanks for understanding!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
