We did it! Stretch goals added!
OK, now EVERYONE who gets a physical book will get BOTH Lacey Leblanc AND Sean Dillon's art print, and everyone in the "Your Favorite New Bar", "Become a Regular" and "Get Hired as a Barback tier" will get a full double set of coasters - that's * total for y'all. NOW it's a party!
This is a big one. If we get to $4500 some awesome art rewards will kick in. Everyone in the "Your Favorite New Bar", "Become a Regular" and "Get Hired as a Barback tier" will get a second EXCLUSIVE art print featuring Arcane Cocktail Enthusiast characters by Gravity Matters artist SEAN DILLON! Plus, EVERYONE who receives a physical book (that's the $12 reward tier and up!) will get a copy of Lacey Leblanc's art print!
$4000 - UNLOCKED!
This one is for the cocktail lovers. The coasters have proven to be hugely popular with everyone I talk to, with most people saying they want "a bunch!" So if we unlock this tier, EVERYONE who receives a print copy of the book will get a set of 2 coasters, and everyone at a level with coasters in it already will get bumped from 4 to 6 coasters! Now it's a party!
$3800 - UNLOCKED!
If we get to this next really reasonable goal, the Specialty Menu from the Arcanist Bar reward will now include 4 cocktail recipes, rather than just 3! Remember, these are UNIQUE ORIGINAL RECIPES that are different than the ones that will appear in each issue of the book, and the ONLY way to get them is to receive this reward! At $3800, it will get that much more magical!
$3600 - UNLOCKED!
If we hit this very reasonable goal, all backers receiving a physical reward will get one of these beauties!
The Arcane Cocktail Enthusiast #1 is an all-new fantasy adventure full-color comic book from Jeff Rider, Davide Puppo, & Cloudwrangler Comics. It begins the story of Lark Leraar, the activist owner of the hottest cocktail bar in San Francisco, whose new employee just learned her deepest secret: she’s also a sorceress whose drinks are literally magic!
Featuring stunning full-color art from Davide Puppo and written by Jeff Rider, Arcane Cocktail Enthusiast explores magical worlds the mystical peoples, flora and fauna that Lark, an expert mixologist and wizard, uses to make our world's most unique libations! It's all ages adventure and excitement that not only explores enchanted places but current themes around respectful treatment of indigenous peoples, sustainable and ethical food practices. Plus, for the aspiring home mixologists, the first issue and each subsequent one will contain a unique cocktail recipe straight from Lark's grimoire that, with a simple earthbound substitution, you can make in your home bar! (Ingredients, magical or otherwise, not included.) Check out some sample pages below!

He has recently graduated and can’t wait to immerse himself in the world of graphic novels.
Everyone knows Comics don't get made cheaply. When I created this book, I wanted to make sure that the artists got paid for their work up front, and at a fair rate. 80% of these costs are cash that goes straight to the talented folks who made this story so awesome to look at. The rest are costs associated with the physical production of the books and other rewards like T-shirts, etc.
Risks and challenges
So far the risk and challenges to A.C.E. #1 are very few. The full-color artwork is 100% complete, lettering is currently in progress and the only thing left is book layout and the time required for printing and shipping. The additional digital and comics perks like prints and barware, are all currently in production.
These orders will come in the heart of what creators and printers refer to as "Con Season" so there can sometimes be print delays, but we'll be as open and transparent as humanly possible during that phase. However, we're working with a printer we trust, and this is unlikely.
This is also my second Kickstarter and is similar in scope to my previous project. That project funded quickly, and all digital and physical rewards were shipped within the promised deadlines, less than three months after the end of the campaign. I learned the value of making sure that the comic is almost entirely complete before launching a campaign means a really quick turnaround time and rapid rewards delivery. The few hiccups from that endeavor became teachable moments for this one, so I expect even more smooth sailing.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
