Holiday ships soon -- get one at the special introductory price of $129!

MooresCloud has spent the last year working toward one goal - to create beautiful, intelligent, and connected lighting.  Earlier this year we announced Holiday by MooresCloud, a seven-meter (23') string of 50 independently-controllable globes, each capable of 16 million colors.  The response has been phenomenal.

Two weeks ago, technology blog The Next Web asked its readers, "What Geek Could Resist These Smart Christmas Lights?", and more orders flooded in.

We're nearly finished building our initial production run of Holiday - and we're almost sold out. If you'd like the world's smartest Christmas lights in time for this holiday season, you'll need to order them soon at holiday.moorescloud.com.

We launched Holiday at the special introductory price of $129, but on Monday the 7th of October, the sale ends, and Holiday will return to its list price of $199.  Now's the time to get your order in.

If you're wondering what Holiday can do, we invite you to download 'holideck', our open-source simulation and development environment for Holiday. MooresCloud provides full APIs (in both Javascript and Python) so you can create your own spectacular light shows for your Christmas tree, your verandah, or anywhere in your home.

In ten years, all holiday lighting will be intelligent and connected.  You can get a piece of that future today, with Holiday by MooresCloud.

Thanks for your support!

Will it ship -- Holiday -- in the US before Christmas? If so, when approximately?

Eri - Did you purchase Light or Holiday? They're different products. If you pre-ordered Light just after the campaign, you would need to have explicitly consented to us moving your order from Light to Holiday when we mailed you about this in June. Do you know if you did this?

Tanks for the update! I purchased back when it was offered after the campaign so just holding my breath for it. We've always had Christmas lights even off season in our home so looking forward to your product!

We won't bill you for Holiday until we ship them to you - but you will get the good price if you preorder now. Really, there's no risk, only upside. :)

We will definitely ship to Australia and NZ for the holidays in 2013. We will ship to the US as soon as we have the necessary certifications and legal clearances to let us to do so. (The US government shutdown has probably thrown a bit of a wrench in the process of filing our FCC certification documents, which are a necessary prerequisite.)

Even if we don't ship to the US before Christmas, Holiday is meant to be used all year round. It lives on the Christmas Tree in December, but throughout the rest of the year it lives wherever you want to have some beautiful, responsive, and interactive lighting.

I was excited by this project and preordered from the website but thought there was an announcement that these lights will only ship to Australia in time for the holidays. As an US resident, I would be delighted to know if I am, in fact, that I am wrong about this.
