So why Clarity?
Women's magazines play a huge part in shaping and challenging our generation. Cosmo has 1.3 million readers in the UK while Glamour has 1.6 million.
Meanwhile... There are 33.2 million UK Christians but young women of faith have nothing to read of this calibre, that covers the same topics. We want to bring to the table a consumer title that’s both commercial and biblically sound.
What is Clarity?
A unique quarterly, handbag sized magazine with 80 pages of content on sex, relationships, career, callings, health, beauty and the bible. We channel scripture but are no means a replacement for the bible.
We want to act as a big sister for young women who want to deepen, explore or initiate a relationship with God. We aim to raise a strong community of readers who are excited to live out the day, confident in their identity, ability and dreams. We've created a space for our readers to openly discuss the taboo. A place to get inspiration for quiet times with God and a resource for supporting friends and family members.
Who will read it ?
Clarity is aimed at Christian females or those interested in exploring faith and new ideas. 18-25 (give or take!) year olds.
Those who are struggling, exploring or just aspiring to have a fulfilled and exciting life. Those who want to deepen their relationship and closeness to Jesus. Those who need support with issues that are specific to young adults or females, whether it be getting a job, a husband, a house or support with deeper issues.
Who are we?
We have been incredibly blessed to have a team of 20+ volunteers who are willing to serve our mission with their gifts and ideas. We consist of writers, designers, photographers, social media fanatics, website coders, and heralds who have a range of expertise. Most importantly, they have a passion and drive to see Clarity grow and women changed.
Risks and challenges
Launching a magazine is no easy task.
The dangers and threats consist of :
- Gaining enough readers and pre-orders to continue publishing.
- Having a continuous level of volunteers, willing to work to see the magazine flourish.
- Creating a sustainable salary for future employees.
So far we have already gained a national buzz and encouragement from many churches and organisations around the UK. We believe in our mission and continuously receive emails and requests to become part of the team, advertise or support us in various ways.
We have faith for the magazine, and just ask that you will too!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
