MY STORYI'm so excited that my musical journey has brought me to this point-- recording an all-original album! I grew up singing harmony with my mom, competing at old-time fiddle contests, and singing and playing instruments at school. But it wasn’t until I was 18 that I started loving music. I taught myself how to play guitar, saved up for a year to buy one, and moved to Beloit, Wisconsin for college where I started taking classical voice lessons, jamming at open mics, and writing songs about everything around me.
This album will be called Temporary Things, and is a collection of 12 original songs. I chose these songs because together they tell a story-- a progression of love, loss, connection, self-discovery and reflection. The journey of writing these songs has filled me with joy, understanding, honesty, fear, frivolity, and growth. After performing these songs during the past five years, I’m ready to bring them to life and share them with you!

I am thrilled to be recording with Dale Adkins and Suzanne Pearce Adkins at Big Owl Studio in Salem, OR. Dale has been recording since 1999 and is a phenomenal, supportive engineer and musician.
I'm equally grateful that some of the best Northwest acoustic musicians I know have agreed to play on this album as well!
- Martin Stevens (The Bluegrass Regulators) is playing fiddle, mandolin, octave mandolin, and singing harmony on several tracks
- Josh Adkins (The Bluegrass Regulators) is laying down sweet bass tracks, as well as singing harmony
- Dale Adkins (True North, Brokentop) is playing banjo, guitar and octave mandolin
- Kelly Bosworth will be adding her beautiful harmonies on a few songs, too!
As for art, Brittney West, an extraordinary visual artist and great friend, will be creating the visual artwork for this album.

Risks and challenges
This is my first experience recording an album, and with all firsts, I expect there may be some surprises along the way. Luckily, I'm working with an amazingly supportive team of engineers, musicians, artists and mentors! I've already spent some time in this studio, learning how to best track my vocals and guitar, and I'm feeling comfortable using their equipment. I'm confident that I'll be able to record and deliver a quality product to each of you-- and if I hit any road bumps, I'll be sure to update you.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
