“ The Ultimate Clap Back is a party game of slights and shade. It’s hilarious and entertaining to just watch.” -Rye Khosravi, Mic.com
"Have you ever laughed so hard and had so much fun, you lost complete track of time? I'm talking about that laugh until your stomach hurts, I never want to leave this moment kind of fun. That is what The Ultimate Clap Back is!" -Bryan Terrell Clark, Hamilton
"The Ultimate Clap Back is always a huge hit at conventions for people of all ages. It's so fun to see total strangers break the ice in such a fun way. And I've taken it with me on trips with friends where it's been a fun party game! MaryMartha is a skilled designer that brings not just talent but passion and dedication to all that she does. It's so clear that The Ultimate Clap Back was a labor of love." -Dan Butchko, Playcrafting
The Ultimate Clap Back is not your parents' night-in of pinochle and spades. The Ultimate Clap Back is a fast paced game of wordplay. With just the right amount of sarcasm, snark and shade, this game is bound to shock and keep you laughing for hours!
For three or more people, this game will keep you laughing as players choose their best card to clap back with.
•The first player draws from the pink pile and says what’s on the card to another player.
•The next player finds their best clap back and responds.
•If the clap back is strong, they’ve won.
•If it’s weak, they’ve lost the hand.
•If you disagree on the winner, take a vote.
•The person to win five hands has won the game!

Allocation of Funds
A little over two years ago I moved my mother into a nursing home. If you've ever been charged with the responsibility of elder care, then it goes without saying that it can be stressful. The adjustment to my family's new "normal" was very difficult. I was emotionally bankrupt, irritable and was diagnosed with depression and anxiety.
The meltdown about baby carrots in the grocery store was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. I had to be an active participant in my well-being. I channeled my energy into something creative and turned my pain into play. I put pen to paper and the rest is history!
The Ultimate Clap Back won the '17 Player's Choice Bit Award, and was an Official Selection of the Indie MEGABOOTH at Pax East earlier this month.
Who is MaryMartha
Losing her father at an early age and shouldered with the responsibility of caring for a disabled parent, MaryMartha Ford-Dieng is no stranger to difficult times. She turned her pain into play by developing the card game, The Ultimate Clap Back. She is a supporter of mental health awareness, and speaks candidly about her diagnosis of depression and anxiety, and the steps she has taken to ensure she continues to thrive. She has survived brain surgery, and encourages others to be brave, fearless and active participants in their quest for greatness.
MaryMartha loves cheese puffs, ginger ale and ice cream. She is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and now resides in New York City with her husband, Tony.
Risks and challenges
Developing and manufacturing a game is not an easy feat! At this time, the game is complete and ready for print.
I gained a lot of experience while printing The Ultimate Clap Back. I have developed a great relationship with the printing company of the core game, and will use them to manufacture the expansion pack. Unforeseen delays can happen however, transparency is key. I will be sure to let you know of any changes.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
