How To Play!
Kingdoms of GridWorld is an easy to learn but hard to master turn-based strategy game. You will battle other players for the full dominion over GridWorld. Gather resources, build up your kingdom, unlock great powers, raise an army and destroy the enemy!
There will be 10 kingdoms to choose from, each one with their own unique set of powers and units.
The Humans are one of the most resourceful among the races, being able to adapt to each situation as they come up. For the player that likes a little of everything. Strategy at is finest.
The Orcs, Ruthless and Straight to the Point. No Mercy.
A race that has decided to put all their GirdMagic into strength, although this strategy is clearly questionable, if you are the kind of player that resonates with the saying "a good offence is a good offence" the Orcs are for you.
The Shaolin Dwarves are truly a force to be reckoned with, even when only fighting one of the Masters at a time, but when the 5 Master are on the battlefield, you’d better watch out! The Dwarves are excellent for the type of player that likes playing the “Late Game Potential” strategy.
Careless, rage filled, ridiculously strong powerful Trolls. A race truly for those who like to put all their eggs in one basket and like things going BOOM!. One of the more "risky" kingdoms to command, but some may say "more fun". :)
In complete sync with nature and each other, the Elves specialize on surgically destroying anyone who dares disrupt the peace of Gridworld. Playing as the elven kingdom will quickly teach a new player the importance of positioning and patience. When played correctly, the elven kingdom will dominate the Grid without getting a scratch.
Creepy, dangerous, and mysterious. The Voodoo Kingdom is most effective at destroying its enemies from the inside out. Cursing, debuffing, poisoning, and more will be the arsenal at your disposal. Destroy your enemies without them realizing it.
Iron, bronze, water, steam, and pressure. The Steampunk Kingdom is truly for those who love complexity. It will be hard to keep everything in check, but if you manage to keep all the machines running smoothly (don't let the pressure get too high or low), you will control a war machine like no other.
A Kingdom that can only be described as "acting on instinct". Placing and taking care of your eggs is your main concern, from there... just destroy your enemies with sheer prehistoric power.
The mightiest of all the kingdoms, the Dragon Kingdom. Ruled by creatures of powerful magic, godlike some may say. Dragons.... they like gold. They LOVE gold. Keeping the Dragon Kingdom in order and on target will not be cheap. “Double or nothing!”
Play Online against other players in 1 of 4 Battle Grids: Forest, Ocean, Desert, IceLands
Each battle grid has its own set of unique game mechanics and features.
Thynk Forest: The Classic. When playing in the Thynk Forest you will have to use the forest itself to gain an advantage over your enemies, while also trying to mine all the gold mines as fast as possible.
The Enevible Ocean: Sharks, Secret Buried Treasures, Pirates and the always menacing Kraken! Sailing the sea will put your Captain Skills to the test in a whole different level. Danger! your troops can drown!
Perpetual Inferno: The most Random of the Grids. Although having a good strategy is important, in this inferno you will have to be ready to change tactics on a turn's notice. Erupting volcanos, flowing lava and earthquakes, you will not only be fighting the enemy kingdoms but the wrath of GridWorld it self.
Midelta Ice Grid: Snow, Ice, Snow, Storms, Snow, Blizzards, Snow and Snow. If it's not yet clear, with each passing turn, snow will fall, making the terrain harder to traverse and making your army and kingdom freeze. Rushing the enemy will just end up on your own demise.
The grid is created and updated with a “controlled random”, meaning that each time you play a game, the configuration of the battle grid will be different.
With the variety of Kingdoms and Battle Grids that the game will have, there are literally millions possible games waiting to be played.
Also, besides being able to play Classic Mode (our configuration), you will be able to customize the games you create, by modifying variables like Amount of Tiles, Gold Mines, Gold Per Tile Pop, Turn Time Limit, Total Amount of Turns, Level Up Kingdom Cost, and others...
As with all creative work, 95%of the ideas you design just end up nowhere. Normally, after some prototyping you realize that either, the idea is simply not working, or the project is too big, too ambitious, and obviously no millions of dollars available to finance such an endeavour.
This is exactly why we are thrilled to develop Kingdoms of GridWorld!!! We have the knowledge, the experience, the technology, and above all else, the need for this game to exist. (we really want to play the full version too).
Simply put, we are completely capable of developing it, and we really want to do it.
But…. there is always a but isn't there…
Our current situation is that we literally don’t have the money to continue development any further.

Risks and challenges
Basically the biggest challenge is to get funded.
As it stands today, we are gliding with the left over momentum.
It's a long story ( http://www.kingdomsofgridworld.com/blog/2015/8/21/thing ) but basically what matters is that we had 2 choices:
A) "Make the best build of Kingdoms of GridWorld that we can in 3 Months, do a Kickstarter Campaign with a demo so players can get a first hand look at the project, hope we get empowered to develop it to completion"
B) Get a new Job and go on with life .
We took the Risk.
Given that we started development of Kingdoms of GridWorld 3 months ago, we haven't had the time to build a community.
