Watch our low-budget video about building a huge, labyrinthine modular city using these pieces:  https://youtu.be/Jpl4EggDm8c

There are two Core Sets at the base of the Kickstarter: the Bazaar of the Bizarre, and the Den of Thieves. Each can be purchased separately (with no stretch goals) or both can be purchased together -- in which case the backer gets all of the stretch goals. Pieces shown as add-ons may be purchased in the Backerkit after the Kickstarter. It is not necessary to add the price of add-ons to your pledge (although you can). Money can be added during the Backerkit phase to purchase whichever add-ons you decide you want.

MASSIVE Modular City Expansion Unlocked!

This set of 6 buildings includes a second pattern for non-plastered stone buildings, and introduces complete modularity into the set. These buildings have no external features, allowing them to fit together in any configuration. By adding the peg-in doors and peg-in windows they can be adjusted to fit that configuration, whether the pieces need to be ground floors or second floors. Your city set is now adaptable into anything at all you want to create!

New Stone Pattern
Allows total modularity when used in conjunction with the peg-in door and peg-in window

Street Bridges and Overpasses Unlocked!

Create a maze of interconnections above street level by adding bridges, walkways, and connections between buildings!

Wall Decoration (Greebles) Unlocks at ???

Pennants, clotheslines, street torchieres, and window awnings permit radical variations to add character to the more important buildings.

Pennants
Clotheslines
Wall Torches (external or internal)
Window Awnings

Narrow Bridges and Walkways Unlocks at ???

These are used to connect shadowy alleyways in slums and poor quarters, where riots brew and thieves make their escapes above street level.

Plants Unlocks at ???

A variety of plants for the city's streets and the caravanserais beyond the gates

More Stretch Goals on the way!

This is not your ordinary "fantasy city" -- it's built on sword & sorcery fiction, not on "high fantasy." Sword & sorcery fiction - the heart of D&D - isn't really set in the worlds of Tudor and Gothic architecture. For example, Conan strides through realms that are mostly akin to the Fertile Crescent and Africa -- nothing like Merry Olde England. Fafyrd and the Grey Mouser swagger around in cities based on Alexandria, Tyre, and Seville. This is the realm of the Black Company, not the the Fellowship. Not only is sword & sorcery fiction "based" outside of Western Europe, it takes imaginary versions of these places and adds the strange, the weird, and the alien.

Who better to portray the strange, the weird, and the alien than famed D&D artist Erol Otus? For our fantasy city we've teamed up Erol Otus as a concept artist, Iain Lovecraft as the sculptor and designer, and Matt Finch as concept artist and designer. Our objective -- to offer a swords & sorcery city that's different from anything else out there.

 Some Pictures:

A typical market scene at Jordoba. Composed with separate miniatures and props available in the set.
The pieces from this Kickstarter can be combined to create a vast, strange city for your RPG of choice. It's not just D&D - consider it for Call of Cthulhu or Savage Worlds, just as a couple of examples!
Get your hands out of the picture!
Domes and turret-tops from our list of stretch goals fit all the turrets of the city, allowing customization and variation.

The two core sets are the Bazaar of the Bizarre and the Den of Thieves. These boxes show the contents of the Core Sets only -- to see unlocked and upcoming Stretch Goals, scroll past the Core Sets. Models are in 28mm scale.

 Den of Thieves

The Den of Thieves is the core of Jordoba's highly-modular building set. The core pieces can be rearranged in several different configurations -- for simplicity, all of our pictures show half of a courtyard. If you print the pieces a second time, the two sets will connect up into a complete, symmetrical courtyard. By using the stretch goal pieces, you can create tremendous variations (as well as building streets and other arrangements, of course).

These sets are delivered unpainted, with shipping paid separately (additionally) in the Backerkit. They are delivered within the USA only. Other conditions may apply.

Risks and challenges

Those of us running this Kickstarter have a combined 50+ Kickstarters under our belts. However, this is a new company, and it does rely on all three of us to fulfill the rewards. If any of us develops a sudden health problem or the classic "gets hit by a bus tomorrow" scenario, that could delay fulfillment.
3D print files are not a physical product and do not incur the risks of shipping problems or fluctuations in postage costs, so we do not consider these to be risks. However, even digital delivery does create some risks, from the failing of computers, bandwidth problems with a server, and loss of files. We have multiple backups of the files that have already been created, so the risk here would be a computer problem that delays delivery (server problems, etc.) or loss of stretch goal files in progress.

Stated delivery dates are for the Core Sets only: completion of delivery of stretch goals will vary by the number and complexity of goals established by the Kickstarter's final results. Since we cannot predict ahead of time the number of stretch goals we will reach, we cannot meaningfully estimate when the process of stretch goal delivery will be completed.

DIGITAL MEDIA:
We strive to produce models that will print with as little support and parts as possible. Some models print in one go whilst most are split up into parts which must be printed separately and then assembled.

The file format of choice will be .STL and the models shall be zipped and made available to the user for download. The user is responsible for downloading their product and must have a valid internet connection and email with which to collect their reward, via internet download. We will keep the files on our system for at least three months after the first date of issue. The user must ensure that he collects the files within this time frame or risk forfeit.

Backers must realize that the resolution you obtain on your print is down to the system you use. Our high resolution files will give you almost render quality prints on high end SLA machines, whilst the same files will produce lesser resolution prints on standard FDM printers. At any rate, all the files have been previously tested on SLA and FDM printers and have shown satisfactory produce.

We recommend FDM Prints with at least a 400 micron nozzle and 200 micron layer height for terrain. Ideally 300 micron nozzle with 100 micron layer height will give you outstanding prints all round. For larger nozzles, at 500 microns, decent results are possible on most prints, if the layer height and temperature is controlled correctly. 0.5(500 micron) nozzles are not recommended for miniature printing.

SLA printers should have no problems obtaining excellent resolution and finish even at 100 micron layer height although 50 micron layer height is recommended for minute sculpt detail clarity.

We supply the user with a design that has been tested on conventional home hobby printers and is proven to print.

We are not responsible for the production or manufacturing process of the design, this is exclusively up to the user.

Users may modify models and files at their own risk and only for their own personal use. Modified files are not guaranteed by us and as such, users do this under their own risk and know how.

The Images shown on the campaign page are just for visualization and although they may come very close, they are not an exact representation of the final design or printed model, which may vary slightly.

We reserve the right to alter any of the models shown, at any time, before delivery, with the intent of improving the design, or efficiency of production.
