About SWEET DREAMS CTHULHU
The new book from the acclaimed creators of C is for Cthulhu: The Lovecraft Alphabet Book, the best reviewed Lovecraft children's book of all time!
SWEET DREAMS CTHULHU is a lushly painted, premium bedtime board book that's sure to help cultists of all ages drift into dreamland.
In the story, Howard Lovecraft is awakened late one night by his old friend, Cthulhu, who has had a hard time sleeping due to some bad dreams and other common fears children experience when the lights go out.
Howard talks Cthulhu through his worries, reassures him, and shows him that the night isn’t so scary after all.
It’s a warm story, packed with lovely art, and features our not-so-scary versions of Lovecraft’s characters fans will recognize from the original book, C is for Cthulhu.
24-page hardcover featuring fully painted illustrations of Cthulhu, H.P., and a host of creepy, yet cuddly Lovecraftian monsters.
A universal theme and positive message… Howard and Cthulhu will help your little cultists face their most common bedtime fears.
A durable, laminated, high-quality board book that will stand up to countless bedtime readings to your insatiable little monsters.
The perfect companion to C is for Cthulhu: The Lovecraft Alphabet Book and the C is for Cthulhu Plush, making sharing the Lovecraft at bedtime even more fun.
What's the deal with Lovecraft-themed Children’s Books?
We'll let Uncle Jason Ciaramella field this one:
For me, there’s a certain satisfaction in taking HP’s nightmarish creatures and turning them into something sweet that might help kids at bedtime.
This story, and the issue of nighttime fears, is very personal to me.
See, I wasn’t always Big Uncle Jason.
I was a kid once, and I was terrified of the dark.
Growing up, I had the only bedroom in the attic, with a view of a crusty old cemetery across the street.
Combine those two things with an overactive imagination, and it was a recipe for a lot of tough nights.
From the age of four, all the way into high school, I slept with my head under the covers, protected from whatever monsters lurked in my room, or just outside my window.
Heck, If I’m being completely honest, I didn’t really get over of my fear of the dark until well into adulthood.
This is a story my boys would have asked for every night when they were little, and I’m sure if my parents had a book like SWEET DREAMS CTHULHU to read to me before bed, my nights wouldn’t have been so tough.
I certainly hope it can help your little ones settle in at bedtime, get some good rest, and keep the shadows at bay.
The 4th Campaign from the C is for Cthulhu Team: 20,000+ Happy Cultists Have Shared the Lovecraft With Us!
Over the past three years, the C is for Cthulhu team has run three successful Kickstarter campaigns supported by more than 2,800 incredible backers to bring the C is for Cthulhu Board Book, Plush Toy, and Coloring Book to life.
To date, the original C is for Cthulhu book has been downloaded more than 22,000 times!
Even crazier, C is for Cthulhu has now been translated into two languages (French & Polish) with more foreign translations still to come.
None of this would have been possible without the support of fans like you!
And so we’ve once again returned to Kickstarter to launch our next (and best) book book yet… SWEET DREAMS CTHULHU.
The Band Is Back Together and Better Than Ever!
SWEET DREAMS CTHULHU reunites the C is for Cthulhu team of acclaimed writer Jason Ciaramella and digital artist Greg Murphy.
As you’ll see, the boys have taken their (Love)craft to the next level.
Greg spent a lot of time making sure each page had the rich, cinematic look Jason's story deserved. We're sure you’ll agree, this is one of the most beautiful children's books ever created.
Here's What People are Saying About Sweet Dreams Cthulhu
Why Kickstarter and What Will the Funds Be Used For?
Kickstarter put the C is for Cthulhu team on the map and is an opportunity to energy and connect with the thousands of fans we’ve made over the years.
Over the past three campaigns, we’ve built one of the best Facebook Communities with more than 23K fans, who have helped us significantly overfund every single campaign, enabling us to donate books and products to worthy causes and make high quality products Lovecraft fans of all ages can’t get enough of!
The funds raised from this Kickstarter will go toward a large off-set first printing of SWEET DREAMS CTHULHU as well as helping us restock our inventory of C is for Cthulhu Plush Toys and other fan favorite merchandise.
In our first campaign, we vastly underestimated the market for our books, and didn’t print nearly enough copies to satisfy the demand.
This Kickstarter will help make sure that Lovecraft fans worldwide can get their hands on SWEET DREAMS CTHULHU for years to come.
Anything raised above that goal will go toward:
- Enhancing the book and the campaign to make it even more valuable for our incredible backers.
- New product development, so we can make even more awesome Lovecraftian stuff.
Have a Look Inside!
If you’re new to the C is for Cthulhu family, we want you to make sure our books are 100% right for you before you join this campaign.

If you like what you see, we hope you'll choose to join our campaign and select one of the following awesome rewards for helping make SWEET DREAMS CTHULHU a reality.
Will You Help Us Share the Lovecraft Once Again?
If you made it this far, you’re probably a fan of H.P. Lovecraft, Cthulhu, or premium quality children’s books that will be appreciated by young and old ones alike.
We continue to be honored and humbled by the support our Kickstarter backers have shown us over the past few years, which has enabled us to share the Lovecraft worldwide.
If you’ve supported us in the past, welcome back again, friend!
And if you’re new to the C is for Cthulhu family, and this is your first Kickstarter with us, you’re in good company.
We’d like to ask for your support to make SWEET DREAMS CTHULHU a part of the bedtime rituals of thousands of little cultists around the world.
Please back this Kickstarter and share the Lovecraft with us once more.

Risks and challenges
This is Greg and Jason's fourth Kickstarter project. Tyler James, publisher of ComixTribe, is the third member of the C is for Cthulhu team, and this will be the 11th project he's managed.
Tyler is also the host of the ComixLaunch podcast (ComixLaunch.com) a show where he teaches creators how to harness the power of the Kickstarter platform to bring their creative projects to life.
We're well aware of the many challenges associated with delivering on a Kickstarter campaign, and know that problems arise in every campaign.
In the past, we've made every effort to deliver on our promises to backers and maintain strong communication with them throughout the fulfillment process of every campaign.
We have taken the following steps to mitigate the risk associated fulfilling this project:
1) Our printers is a well-regarded US-based print broker who we've worked with in the past to ensure a quality book production, and on-time fulfillment.
2) The book is 100% complete, and ready to go to print.
3) We don't anticipate any problems working with our already selected vendors for all rewards. However, we've already sourced back-up vendors for all products, should a problem arise.
We don't consider a project successful unless 100% of our backers have been fulfilled. We hope you'll give us the opportunity to make you a C is for Cthulhu fan for life!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
