About this project
What is the Cinematic Smartcase?
The Lumenati CS1 combines the technological features of a digital device (film-free shooting, instant sharing and an editing app) with the cool design, ergonomic ease and natural narrative that the lo-fi classic camera is known for.
Cinematographers simply pop their device into the Lumenati CS1 just as grandpa would load an 8mm film cartridge. The lightweight, portable unit allows anyone to frame and film a steady, stable shot with the pull of an intuitive trigger. A cold shoe allows filmmakers to attach lights, microphones and extra handles for sport shooting. The real-time viewfinder allows WYSIWYG capabilities even in bright light, a feature that is elusive to modern mobile devices. Lenses can be swapped to shoot in wide angle, fisheye and telephoto.
New Stretch Goal!
Backers vote on which color we will make! If we reach $215,000, every backer will be able to choose between black, white, and the most popular vote! You can vote once a day so make sure you get your favorite color!
The Lumenati CS1 is currently compatible with the iPhone 6 model. However, backers will have the option of being delivered either the iPhone 6 model or the iPhone 6s model (releases October). We hope to offer options for all sizes and smartphones if we are successful in fundraising.
What are people saying?
The Lumenati CS1 uses an optical-quality glass lensing system. Our lenses range from wide angle to telephoto and deliver crisp stunning images. The lenses are designed for high resolution HD cameras and when paired with the CS1 create the perfect look for any occasion. Standard 58mm interchangeable lensing provides even more versatility with available super wide and fish eye lenses.
The iPhone is already an incredible camera, but the ergonomics were never designed for film making. That's where we come in. The CS1 enhances the iPhone camera by creating the ability to attach lenses for numerous different shots. Additionally, the CS1 enables the addition of filters, handles, microphones, and lights, which greatly enhance the overall quality of the filming experience. Place it onto a tripod for completely steady and beautiful video.

What will we use the funding for?
Lumenati will use the funding to bring the first generation of the Cinematic Smartcase to fruition. With your investment, we will be able to purchase the injection molds for manufacturing the first full production run. Additionally, we will use the funds to put towards finishing the programming of the app.

Risks and challenges
As a company, we've created countless commercials for clients all over the globe. Some of these advertisements have recently been featured in Ad Age, Time, The Huffington Post, and CBS News. We like to think we are pretty good at it.
Our biggest challenge is expanding our offerings to consumer goods. This will be the first time we have created a tangible product for consumers. We believe our incredible work ethic and creativity can help excel us forward into this world and create an amazing product for everyone to enjoy.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
