Everyone has their own dream car. It may be a Ferrari, Lamborghini or Aston Martin, but these symbols restrict imagination. Why can’t a dream car have graffiti on it, or have triangular windows, or even not have any resemblance of a movable vehicle?
Start building your own Dream Car with our sustainable toy, enjoy the awesome snapping sound of the patented magnetic system as you explore your creativity and imagination with the interchangeable car bodies finished with chalkboard paint. Handcrafted from natural walnut, beech and poplar wood, these iconic car bodies are individually handcrafted with utmost care. In any setting, the Dream Car becomes a timeless piece of design object that is appreciated by all. Give a thoughtful present and lets pass on the story from friends to family, and from generation to generation.
FEATURES
Natural Wood
The use of different woods not only serves aesthetic purpose, but also practicality and function. The wheels are made of birch for optimal smooth movement; the car bodies are made of poplar for its density and its texture for finishing with chalkboard paint; the base is made of walnut for its sturdiness and classic grain pattern.
Thoughtful Engineering
The patented smart magnet system has been designed to enable optimal functioning, with just the right balance between magnetic strength and ease of play. The magnets seamlessly hide inside the wooden base, but cleverly pop up when attaching to a car body.
Personalized Gifting
Neatly and elegantly placed into the signature huzi gift packaging, the Dream Car reminds its owners that a lot of love and care is invested before it could be delivered to them. Since everyone’s Dream Car should be different, the option of personalized engraving further adds a touch of warmth and sense of belonging to this unique design object.
Design Meets Craftsmanship
Each piece is individually handcrafted and finished with care and meticulous attention to detail. The result is a collectible design object that can be played with, used, treasured, and passed on from generation to generation.
Originality and Safety
A great deal of time is spent in both design and engineering of the products. Every design is original and patented, and tested with international safety standards. Our products all conform to American standards of ASTM F963 and European standards of EN71. We use water-based, non-toxic paint. Also, every detail is important to us, so the chalk included with the product is dustless and not harmful to one's health.
BEHIND THE PROJECT
Dream Car is the first product that is ready from a bigger project called "Huzi", which I started about two years ago. Huzi is a collection of smart and sustainable design objects that keep the curious sparkles in our eyes, for playful kids and the kids inside all of us as adults. Besides natural materials and durability, sustainability in our heirloom products also means the unquantifiable sense, like beauty, meaning and nostalgic tendencies. Kids will play with our products at a young age; the classic designs remain timeless and are appreciated by older kids and parents; and lasting meaningful stories are passed on from generation to generation.
I discussed this project with some young and talented designers from around the world and they all jumped on board. Designed in collaboration with these wonderful designers, Huzi's smart design objects tell meaningful stories and invite us to touch, play, laugh, love, think and learn.

Ps. I named the project Huzi, which means moustache in Chinese, after a quirky thought I had. Imagine what the world would look like if we all have a moustache?

Risks and challenges
We're now reviewing the release samples before the first batch of cars can be made, which is scheduled to take place right after Kickstarter end date. We're doing our best to make the process as smooth as possible. However, since this is the first batch, there's a slight chance that we may have schedule delays due to unforeseen issues. But we think quality always comes first! We will ensure that the rewards arriving at your doors will be as perfect as can be.
