Our music is raw and simple, but genuine. In our case, we hope that is our advantage.
As a duo, we are pretty used to doing things ourselves. We still hand manufacture our old EP's! So this time around, we've chosen a few good musicians, some generous friends/artists, and a couple professionals to make this Album a work of art.
We've recorded 12 songs that will be released on the Album. The Album will be called Mantra, named after one of the tracks on the album.
We hope that the Album will encourage people to seek us out at and come to a live show, and we hope that people who already do come to our shows can enjoy these songs at their leisure. It will be our life line to have something concrete, with all of this cumulative hard work in it, when we are performing and travelling. We can't wait to see and hear the finished product, and we can't wait to make you part of our story!
Wondering where the money is going? Read below
$4000 to $5000 will go to mixing the 12 songs. The mixing will be done Duane Lundy at shangri-la studios out of Lexington Kentucky. $1000 will go to mastering the 12 songs. The mastering will be done by Rodney Mills at Rodney Mills Mastering House in Atlanta Ga. $1000 will go to printing. We will print 1000 CDs through Disc Makers. What ever is left from the budget will go to promotion. Promotions agencies get things on radio and in magazines and other social media outlets. Kickstarter takes 5% of what we make and Amazon payments take 4% to 5% too. So if we make the $8000 goal then kickstarter and Amazon get $720 to $750 by default. So ideally we will have around $1000 for PR but it may end up being around $250 which should suffice for 1 month of promotion.

Risks and challenges
I think the biggest challenge we have before us, since we aren't with a label, is successfully promoting the Album. This will have been the single most ambitious thing we have taken a chance on. But we have integrated the Atlanta music scene enough to know who to talk to about getting the music out there. And if that fails, we will do what we do best, which is playing every show we can get our hands on and showing off our finished project with pride and glowing faces!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
