Zane Lamprey continues where he left off with "Three Sheets", traveling the globe to learn about drinking cultures and customs.
CHUG! is the latest travel show from Zane Lamprey! All Kickstarter backers of $25 or more will receive a digital download of the entire season! Not one episode, but six (or more)! When this show is funded, backers will get a new half-hour episode every week for six weeks! With your pledge, you're not donating. You're pre-buying six amazing episodes.
If you liked "Three Sheets", Zane's previous show that aired on MojoHD, Fine Living Network, Travel and Spike, the you're going to LOVE "Chug"!
Chug is not a show about Zane chugging beer, as the title may infer. That's the clever double entendre. The chugging refers to Zane's primary mode of transportation-- trains! Chug will follow Zane's journeys as he travels the world exploring the greatest drinking destinations as well as the customs and cultures that they have inspired. Arriving by train, Zane will imbibe with the locals as he gives you a first-hand look at what it's like to drink in unique locations around the world.
Did you love "Three Sheets"? Great! Chug will reunite Zane with Mike Kelly, executive producer and creative tour de force behind "Three Sheets", as they bring you the next chapter in traveling-drinking shows.
"We know what the fans loved, and we want to bring that back-- bigger and better than before! I've worked on a lot of productions since Three Sheets, but I haven't been this excited about a show since I last worked with Zane." ~ Mike Kelly
Don't be fooled by the show's title. It's a play on words. This isn't some sophomoric romp around the world. Zane will visit local watering holes, unique drinking locations, as well as breweries, distilleries, and wineries. It's everything you loved in Zane's previous shows, and more. Without the limitations imposed by the networks, these "half hour" episodes of Chug won't have to account for commercial breaks. In fact, they don't even have to be limited to a half hour! But, if this show ever goes to a TV network, they will have to be cut down to 22-24 minutes with commercial breaks. So, while Kickstarter backers will see these episodes way before they air on TV or anywhere else, the TV version will be shorter, with a lot of great content cut out of the show.
Kickstarter backers will see the show first AND they'll see the best and LONGEST version of the show!
You're not backing one episode. You're backing an entire season! If we reach our goal of $500K, you'll receive a new episode every week for six weeks! AND, if we reach our ultimate goal of $1.25 million, you'll receive a new episode every week for 12 weeks! If we get more than that, we may even add some more!
Zane's two previous shows, Three Sheets and Drinking Made Easy, quickly became cult-favorites and have the best fans of any show in the world! So, why are the shows not still on TV? The shows have done great! The problem is that the networks that they premiered on have gone away! And, the larger networks are reluctant to have a show centered around drinking.
Three Sheets and Drinking Made Easy are done, but the exploration of new places and drinking with new friends will live on through the production of Chug with your support.
To do this we need your help.
Our goal is to make the show that you loved. A show that's not limited by television restrictions, or commercial breaks. A show that pushes the envelope, a show that brings you real drinking cultures from around the world in all their glory. We want to bring back everything people loved about Three Sheets and Drinking Made Easy and combine them into one truly awesome, kick-ass, experience.
When the show is done, you don't have to worry about getting the channel that it's on! When the episodes are done, they'll be sent to you!

In every episode of Chug, Zane will hop on a train and embark on a new drinking adventure in a different city or region. Zane will learn about local drinking cultures and customs as he throws a few back with the locals. Every episode will be carefully planned out, with a full research and production staff, but there are sure to be plenty of surprises!
Zane Lamprey is constantly being told he has the best job in the world. While hosting fours seasons of Three Sheets, and three seasons of Drinking Made Easy (over 100 episodes in total), Zane's job has been to travel around the world and, well, drink. In the past eight years, Zane has thrown them back in 60 countries and every state in the union. But, there's still plenty more drinking locations left to explore!

Chug will have an experienced production team and crew working on the project. The pre-production team (coordinating with locations, scheduling of travel and locations, hiring of local and international crew, as well as logistics associated with shooting a travel show) will begin working as soon as the first goal of $500K is met. We'd like to be shooting by July and have the first episode completed by late October. But, as there as many variables at play, the shooting may not begin until August. Post-production (writing, editing, voice-over, computer graphics) for each episode can take up to two months, so while we feel confident about releasing the first episode in late October, delivery of the episodes may not begin until November. That being said, we're confident that we'll be able to deliver the show by November 1st, our scheduled delivery date. Then a new digital episode will be delivered every week after that.
Many international locations require work visas and permits to shoot there. The time to acquire these documents may prohibit us from being able to shoot there. But, these are hurdles that the production team has dealt with before. We are sure that we'll be able to bring you new episodes of Chug from locations that Zane has not shot at before.
If you have locations suggestions, or more specifically "connections" with any international locations, please email Zane at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that some rewards will be able to be sent before others. The physical rewards (except the DVDs) will be sent in a month or so. The digital downloads will be sent out once the episodes are complete. We expect the first episode to be delivered on November 1st. The DVDs and Blu Rays will be delivered shortly after the full season has been delivered digitally. Other rewards, like voicemail and video messages, will be completed as per Zane's schedule.
That's still to be decided. A lot depends on what the budget ends up being. We foresee going to Australia, India, Europe, and some more exotic destinations. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to email email@example.com!
We want to focus on Zane's interactions with people he meets in the show. Having Steve McKenna along for the ride the whole time would interfere with that a bit. But, we fully expect Steve to join us on some episodes. He IS part of the drinking game!!!
Three sheets ran for three seasons on MojoHD. The show was a success, but the network shut its doors. The fourth season of Three Sheets then ran on the Fine Living Network which, unfortunately, shared the same fate as Mojo HD. After that, the show bounced to the Travel Channel and eventually to Spike TV.
This show shares the host and creative producer of Three Sheets, so there will certainly be some similarities. But this is a different show. However, it will be similar.
Drinking Made Easy ran for a total of three seasons on Mark Cuban’s HDNet. The channel changed their format to focus on live music, so the show was not renewed for a fourth season.
Well, it's not really about trains. Trains will certainly play a part in the show. They're really there so we could call the show "Chug", and have it be a funny and clever name. That being said, what do you have against trains?!?! Trains are awesome and allow you to drink responsibility. Zane will be “Chugging” his way to different destinations on local trains to show you how you can get around the town safely while drinking.
The show will be hosted by Zane Lamprey. The executive producer of the show will be Mike Kelly, who was the creative tour de force on Three Sheets. If we raise enough money we would like to bring back more familiar faces.
When the show is completed, Kickstarter backers will receive a new episode every week, which they'll download. Once Kickstarter backers have seen the show first, it will be made available to other people. But, it will be a while before non-Kickstarter backers will get to see the show!
Does Zane like to drink?
Pleepleus is a stuffed monkey and Zane’s personal drinking buddy. Zane takes Pleepleus with him on all his travels so he doesn’t have to drink alone. Pleepleus will be hidden in the show, as he has been in 100 episodes so far, as part of the drinking game.
We hope to be able to release the first episode in the first week in November, and one more each week after that.
Those are toasts from different regions, like “Cheers.” Just one of the many things you will learn from Chug!
We will be releasing the T-Shirt designs in the near future.
After the campaign, we'll send you an email asking for information relevant to you, like your address, t-shirt size, hoodie size, etc. T-shirts will be available from XS all the way up to XXXXL for no extra charge!
We'd love to hear your suggestions. Either leave a comment or message us on Kickstarter, or email us at http://mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org
