Wolf Interval is my third book in my angels-and-faeries Senyaza setting, but as a spin-off it follows mostly new and younger characters. It's YA urban fantasy, featuring the monsters we've come to love from a point of view that's a little bit unusual, and it's being published just as the previous two have been, by the excellent small press Candlemark & Gleam.
Hey, this Kickstarter has add-ons! If you back a paperback tier without digital copies of the previous two SENYAZA books and would like to fix that, you can still grab them both here for a special bargain price. Just add $2 per copy of MATCHBOX GIRLS or INFINITY KEY to your pledge, and let us know on the survey.
There are probably stretch goals, too. I know that at $500, the Candlemark & Gleam SWAG machine will whir into motion, dispensing tiny but charming treasures into every book package passing through the postal system. ($20 and up) -- ACHIEVED
I've also heard a rumor that at $700, I will do something amusing on video. If you've ever thought, "I want to see an indie author put on a skit inspired by her fiction using stuffed animals, kittens and small children," well, this may be your chance to achieve that dream. -- ACHIEVED omg
$1,500: Senyaza Agent! backers at the $35 and up level have passed the initial employment screening and get to meet the Senyaza HR team. You’ll receive your welcome letter, ID badge, and department assignment, as well as any other pertinent documents that Senyaza sees fit to release to you.
$2,000: Art and Artifice: At $2,000 in pledges, everyone who backs for $45 or more will receive Kickstarter-edition art cards of the illustrations being produced by Tiffany Ard! (FYI, she has her own Kickstarter running right now: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/218795024/science-baby-memory-book-the-human-infant-project/posts.)
I wrote the trailer. Kevin Maginn produced it. Kevin MacLeod provided the music.
Risks and challenges
The book is written, edited, and mostly produced. Candlemark & Gleam has done this a lot, and I've been around the block a couple of times myself so hopefully a lot of the wrinkles have been smoothed out.
However, any time there's multiple steps in a supply chain, some of those links can creak alarmingly. Delays happen. If that occurs here, we have support. If Candlemark & Gleam runs into problems, I can pick up the slack. If I run into problems, my husband is on board to shove a pen into my hand and cold medicine down my throat. He has experience sealing and addressing envelopes. If my Idea Well runs dry, the seven year old is available to provide inspiration. We will make this all happen. Some of it might be delayed a bit, that's all.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
