Hello Kickstarter backers!
First of all, THANK YOU! The outpouring of support we received in the last few days of the Kickstarter was incredible. We only exist as a company because of you, and I promise we're going to do our best this year to live up to everyone's faith in us.
After the Kickstarter squeaked through on Tuesday night, our staff crashed very hard for a day or two, then jumped up and got to work on the new issue, pending paperbacks, and all the other stuff we're always working on. But I wanted to swing back here to give everyone an update about the Kickstarter's next steps.
Kickstarter funds always take about two weeks from the end of the Kickstarter to clear. As soon as that happens (around Oct. 16th), we'll send out surveys to get everyone's info--email and mailing addresses, your choice of books and ebooks, usernames for memberships, etc. A few days after that, digital rewards will start going out, and physical rewards shortly after.
Sparkler Ships members--your September and October books will be shipped together. We allow substitutions if you already own one of the books you'll be receiving--I'll ask about that in the surveys.
Also, open submissions will launch on October 15th! This year will be a little different from earlier years in that we'll be looking for established webcomics in addition to newer projects. We'll have more details soon.
