Wow. I don't even know what to say right now. 1570 backers and counting! $40K in just 10 days! You are all so incredible. I want to sincerely thank you all for making this campaign a success. Your support means the world to me, and now I can focus exclusively on making the best cat experience EVER instead of trivial details like paying rent or scrounging change for the ramen that both my cats and I subsist on.

So what now? Are we done? NOT A CHANCE! We've got two weeks left and a ton of fun surprises left in store for you. Tonight we celebrate, and then it's right back to the campaign grindstone!

I'm also putting up stretch goals right after I finish this update! I listened to your feedback and came up with what I think is a good set of goals. If we manage to get all the way through to the PS4 one I will definitely put up more, I have plenty of other things I'd like to put in the game. Here's the list!

  • Supermarket bonus level - Trash the local grocery store! I don't know why they don't allow cats in supermarkets in real life. Goal: $48K
  • Museum bonus level - Knock over ancient artifacts, dinosaurs fossils, and all this other old junk that isn't nearly as exciting as your cat toys. I totally get why they don't allow cats in museums in real life. Goal: $56K
  • Steam Workshop integration - We'll release all of our developer tools to the public so that the community can easily modify the game and share their creations with other fans. As a player you'll have access to lots of user generated content! Goal: $70K
  • Pet Store bonus level - I'm pretty sure that this is the number one place where cats would love to run amok, and they'd definitely cause a ton of damage. We're going to have a ton of fun making this bonus level as we'll be adding animals! Goal: $85K
  • PlayStation 4 version - It's just what you're hoping for, Catlateral Damage on the PS4! Be sure to read the fine print, this version will be out 6 months after the initial Steam/OUYA release. Goal: $100K

Stay tuned for more cat awesomeness, and once again thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this game possible :D

cats cant eat ramen i would recommend some sort of fanciful feast brand cat food or dustys brand dry cat food which is sprayed with chicken fat to increase the appeal to our feline friends. the chicggin fat also reduces the dustyness factor because we dont want our cat food to be too dusty. the moister the cat food the better. so i hope that 40k can buy some real good katty food for them!!!

also you guys are total fucking nerds which is great. Love this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh, you guys weren't joking about the ouya thing. I just thought that eitan's deadpan was exceptionally good.

Yay! I was writing content for a client's Kickstarter page and ran across yours while studying other video game pages. A video game with cats? How could I say no? The only thing more exciting would have been giraffes (I have a collection of real cats, but a much larger collection of pretend giraffes), but they're not nearly as cute and fluffy. I'm really psyched for your game and can't wait to be a beta tester as a Hipster Cat. Whee! :)

Are you aware of the Ouya free games fund ? You get an extra $26k if you give ouya exclusivity for 3 months that will lower stretch goal costs :D
