What a week!
Katelyn and Chris here! It's been five days since we launched our campaign, and it has already been quite a ride. Seeing this project that we've been working on for so long finally become a real possibility is exciting and scary at the same time. We're at 15% backed!
The Reviews Are In
We sent out some samples to bloggers and podcasters this past month, and the responses have been overwhelmingly positive! We want to say thank you to the following people for taking a look at our bags:
Michelle from the ACTuallyKNITting podcast, Megan and Amy from the Stockinette Zombies video podcast, and Erica from Erica Heusser Designs have all posted about our bag and provided some great feedback! So a special thanks to these folks for taking a look at our samples, telling us what you think, and especially for sharing them with your followers!
One of the things we've heard repeatedly is that people seem to like the length of our leather shoulder straps. This is no accident! Katelyn is very particular about the length of her straps - she hates it when the arm hole is too short to allow her to pull it up and over her elbow. We designed these straps so that they would pass Katelyn's #elbowtest:
So rest assured, Fairmount Bag Co. is here to protect against cramped elbows and high-riding bags!
One More Request
So we already think you're all super heroes for your kind words and for backing us, but we have one more favor to ask: we need you to spread the word.
The truth is, although we've come pretty far over the past five days, we still have a long ways to go. And we can't do it without your support. This bag can only happen with your help in getting the word out!
So please - tell as many people as you can. Tweet about it. Post it on instagram. Share a facebook post. Tell your knitting group! We really want to make this happen - and with your support, it will.
So that's it for tonight - we'll be doing another update very soon (lol who wants to see Christopher's first attempt at knitting?) but in the meanwhile, we just wanted to say thank you.
