Help Us Grow
Thanks to many of you in our area, Doll House Baked Goods has grown faster than we believed possible. We currently operate at maximum capacity but have limited equipment and space. Fortunately we can scale up quickly. We've located a wonderful space nearby - at the Country Village, in Bothell, Washington - where we can have our own retail store and prep kitchen. This will allow us to have a permanent storefront, increase our output, and for the first time we can offer our goodies to you via mail order using our new online store.
With your help, we'll be able to get larger ovens and kitchen equipment, so we can handle more orders. Plus, our new space needs a few minor adjustments to support a baking business.
Stephanie Doll started Doll House Baked Goods as a one person operation in our own licensed kitchen over two years ago. She wanted to share a bit of our own history, and her love for baking. It all began with special orders for friends and family, and then we first expanded to local Farmer's Markets. Our commitment to using quality, locally sourced ingredients makes us a unique choice for food lovers.
Classic Family Recipes
Our baked goods come from family recipes made with pure flour, butter, eggs, and sugar that do not contain the fillers or stabilizers found in most commercial products. During peak produce seasons we use the freshest fruits available for many of our products, buying directly from suppliers in Washington State. This makes our breads, cookies, pies, and cakes the finest in terms of flavor and satisfaction, bringing a taste of home baking to our customers. This personal connection, and commitment to the local produce community, has won us accolades and an increasing base of recurring customers. We thank all of you who've supported us so far, and we look forward to bring more delicious baked goods to you.
We offer a wide range of delicious bakery choices:

Our New Location & Opening Date
Doll House Baked Goods will be opening the first week of July, 2016 in our new shop.
We've secured an excellent location in the Country Village near our home in Bothell, Washington. The shop is right on the main boardwalk as you enter the village. One side will host our retail sales area for walk-ins and pickups, while the other will be dedicated to our fully licensed baking operation.
Risks and challenges
RISK 1 - PROPER CERTIFICATION FOR OUR NEW LOCATION
Our new space is currently occupied by a certified food processing business, so we expect minimal changes will be needed to the building. We may need to add an additional sink, or make alterations to existing electrical components to accommodate larger scale baking equipment. We are already coordinating with the appropriate agencies here in Washington State to ensure that we are fully certified for operation, and they've been incredibly helpful.
RISK 2 - WORKING CAPITAL
While confident in our current plans, any business expansion is a financial risk. This campaign will help us by providing a runway of orders for our new operation.
RISK 3 - OPERATING AT SCALE
This is the risk we hope to face - can we meet the demands of a landslide of orders once we expand? Our plans allow for the increase in production, plus further expansion down the road as our business grows. If necessary, we are prepared to move future expansion plans forwards to meet our needs. Fortunately we already have a website that is ready to start taking orders once we expand.
