Gremlin Invasion is a fast-paced overhead shooter. You play as a mercenary who has been hired to invade a gremlin-infested planet to wipe them out, using their souls as currency to buy new weapons along the way. These weapons include: Standard Gun, Shotgun, Plasma Blaster, Flamethrower, Rocket Launcher, Nuke Bomber... and grenades. Along with the Single Player Mode & Co-op campaign mode, there is also a Survival Mode complete with an online leaderboard -- so you can see where you stand.
About the Game
Gremlin Invasion has been in production for about a year over many, many late nights, weekends and any scrap of spare time we can find. In the wake of several indie games that have come out over the last couple years, we didn't want to make just another carbon copy "zombie shooter" or "retro 2d sidescroller" with the same boring concept. We wanted to do something totally different that we've never seen done before, and above all, make it a lot of fun.
In addition to the standard things you might expect to see in a top-down shooter such as an array of powerful weapons, upgrades and tons of different enemies, we have also incorporated many new things that you don't typically see in this genre. There is a ton of exploration, action, comedy, epic boss battles and online leaderboards across a single player campaign, co-op campaign, survival mode and time-trial mode.
So far we've been able to build 3 levels of this game in just under a year with only 3 team members, working in our spare time. However, it's come to a point where we're serious about finishing this game, adding the level of polish a real game deserves, and giving our game a fighting chance in the market. To do this we need to hire another level designer/3d modeler, musician and we plan to show our game off at GDC -- the biggest game developer conference in the world. We've gotten pretty far without any funding, but without some help from you, it will be impossible to finish this project. So please, help us out in any way you can and we'll produce an awesome game and give you all sorts of great rewards!

What will we do with any extra funding?If we are lucky enough to receive more funding than our goal, every penny will be used to create even more content and to advertise our game. More bosses, more levels, more everything. Our goal is to create the best game possible, and the more help we get, the better the game will be.

Between the three of us, we have several years of professional game development experience and about a decade of working on small game-related projects. We have created a handful of games for mobile and browser platforms, but our real dream is to create serious games for PC, Mac, PS3, XBox 360 and future consoles. Gremlin Invasion is our first step toward that goal, which will be released initially on PC & Mac and if budget allows, PSN.
