Win the throne through intrigue or force in a procedural storytelling RPG with roguelike step-based combat for PC, Mac and Linux.

@ET3D - thanks very much!
Thanks for the post. I upped from the observer level to the game level because I like the idea of procedural generation and would like to see how it ends up.
Frankly I would be more interested in playing with the town generation and seeing what comes up than playing the game (I just don't game much these days except occasionally with the kids; haven't played the vast majority of the games I backed), but playing around with generation is something I'd find cool (and not too time consuming).
@Fergus: the game history code is already written and working in Sol Trader, my previous game, and I'm expecting to further improve that code in the coming months to get it ready for Ealdorlight.
In terms of the player interaction: the player makes their own life decisions and these form part of the history generation, which then influences the world around them. This is already in and part of Sol Trader.
The big difference is that Ealdorlight's history generation will be ongoing - you'll be able to restart it and let several months go by. That will require some upgrades which aren't written yet.
For me the more interesting aspect of this game is the procedural generation of the game world alongside player steering of these developments. How is work in this area going?
