About this project
It’s not a pill or small vial of mystery liquid with 5 hours of promises. Our chocolates are stone-ground in small batches and mixed with widely celebrated plant and herb medicine from around the world. More specifically our chocolates are made from Raw Cacao, a Super Fruit from the cacao tree. Cacao is the perfect delivery system for the plants and herbs in our various chocolates.
Below is a graphic representation of what will come in each sample pack or Case of Chocolate.
- A single Large Box of Chocolate is 71 grams / 2.5oz
- A single Grab 'n' Go Box of Chocolate is 28 grams / 1 oz
- A Single Bag of Crunch time is 42 grams / 1.5oz
Cacao (pronounced kə-kou) is a super-fruit that contains powerful antioxidant and neurotransmitters — flavanols and Anandamide (The Bliss Chemical). Anandamide is a neurotransmitter known to make you feel good. Flavanols are a type of antioxidant, known to support the circulatory system. The Flavanols act as a vasodilator, opening blood vessels, allowing your body to more efficiently deliver and process the powerful plant and herb medicines contained in each Chocolatl remedy.†
Now you may have heard that Dark Chocolate is good for you. Unfortunately it’s not that simple. Dark chocolate is good but Cacao is much better for you.
Dark chocolate is made from Cacao. During the process that turns Cacao into Dark chocolate, many of the beneficial neurotransmitters and antioxidants are lost through processing and cooking. Our "chocolate" is RAW CACAO.
Processing and heating the ingredients can burn off important nutrients, rendering the product less potent. Our chocolate remedies are carefully handled to ensure this never happens. We abide by raw food standards to insure the potency of our remedies.
Rich in fiber, antioxidants, magnesium, calcium, and trace minerals, raw cacao provides uplifting neurotransmitters and acts as a support for the enhanced absorption of nearly all other vital nutrients.
A South American secret to longevity and vitality, Maca is found in the high Andes and acts as an adaptogenic herb for stamina, balance, protein, immunity and endocrine balancing support.
Unable to be produced in factories, coconut sugar has been transformed from the nectar of the palm tree by indigenous people for over 6,000 years. High in potassium, magnesium, zinc, and iron, coconut sugar provides a slow release of energy optimal for sustained metabolism.
Also known as Wolfberries, Goji is a tonic herb revered in Eastern medicine for longevity, immunity, strength, mood, antioxidants, amino acids, and Vitamin C. Traditionally sourced from Heaven Mountain in northwestern China, Goji’s anti-aging properties are essential for toning and replenishing the body’s vital systems.
A desert shrub native to the Southwest, Mesquite naturally balances blood sugar while providing fiber, calcium, manganese, potassium, iron, and zinc. Its smoky caramel and malt flavors find enhanced levels of mineral absorption when paired with the supportive benefits of raw cacao.
A sweet and sacred fruit from Peru found high in the mountains, Lucuma has a slight maple flavor with a high vitamin content, trace mineral support, essential fiber, and a low-glycemic index that enhances blood sugar stabilization.
Indigenous to the high Himalayas, this rare mushroom is regarded for its life-enhancing properties and ability to strengthen the lungs, heart, blood, and kidneys. Used in Chinese medicine to support the individual on a fundamentally physical level, cordyceps can be used over long periods of time for anti-aging, clarity, energy, and overall vitality.
Wild Blue-Green Algae
Sustainably cultivated and sourced from abundant beds, wild blue-green algae is a highly bioavailable source of vegan protein that provides over 65 vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and the complete spectrum of essential and nonessential amino acids.
The shelled fruit of the hemp seed is one of the most bioavailable sources of plant based protein, fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and essential amino acids naturally found and sustainably harvested. Indigenous to the Americas, hemp is high in iron, calcium, protein, zinc, antioxidants, and magnesium.
A whole food algae sourced from the nutrient and mineral dense waters of Lake Texcoco, spirulina was traditionally used by Aztecs and Mesoamericans as a complete protein food source containing all essential amino acids, lipids, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, and bioavailable pigments like beta-carotene.
Himalayan Sea Salt
Essential to proper functioning, salt is a necessary resource in the body’s quest for homeostasis. Sourced from Himalayan mountain range stretching across eastern, western and southern Asia, crystallized sea salt that was once covered by lava is now hand-mined as an ingredient rich in minerals, natural iodine, and iron.
Most widely known for its caffeine alkaloids, coffee beans (green and mature) are actually the seed of a tropical evergreen shrub that boasts both amino acids and enzymes that slow the absorption of fat and glucose by blocking the absorption of sugars into the bloodstream.
Considered one of the greatest tonic herbs on earth, reishi is consumed not only in the East but across the world for radiant health, longevity and the promotion of beneficial organ function. As a protector, reishi modulates the immune system, works as a potent antioxidant, improves sleep, aids the central nervous system, nurtures the heart, and provides necessary liver support.
WHY ARE WE RUNNING THIS CAMPAIGN?
We're asking for you help to expand our operation. We need new equipment and some helping hands to help pick up the slack. Beyond equipment and man power, we plan to market our products to a broader demographic. The funds will help us with marketing and event costs, to expand our reach. Thanks for your help!
Risks and challenges
We have years of experience running the kitchen and producing these chocolates. The only obstacle that would slow down delivery of your rewards would be an influx of orders too large to produce in the time we've set aside. We've given a large buffer to make sure the job gets done on time, even if we far exceed our expectations. We could also run out of packaging. To solve this we have a printer standing by who can produce the packaging with little to no warning. Our supply chain is well oiled and we're ready to go!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
