Frequently Asked Questions
Let's go ahead and address the obvious question first. Short answer: YES! Longer answer, due to the costs of design and tooling this larger and more articulated figure, we've had to break our budget down into chunks for the lineup. Horses will be available in series 2, or if things go well, even earlier. Stay tuned!Last updated:
Right now the "All-IN!" pledge guarantees at minimum 11 figures including the Badlands Vigilante exclusive. I understand your concern and reason for inquiry, but let me point out that If we are unlock every stretch goal, then the "All-IN!" package becomes a t-shirt, sticker, 15 carded figures (including the exclusive), 5 Buck-A-Roos blanks, 10 different Boot Hill Loot accessory and gear sets. Much more appealing.
Current "All-IN!" reward level guarantee:
Man in Black
Cardinal Red T-Shirt
Boot Hill Loot Gear/Accs #1
Most Wanted head 5 pk
Obviously, I understand you want to guarantee a big bang for your buck and investment return and if everything is unlocked the "All-IN!" is the best deal by far. The idea of the "All-IN!" pledge is to insure that the project gets done first, and secondly can become a bargain. It's a gesture of faith to insure a good project sees the light of day, and not a pre-order for a store.
Also be aware, that you can pledge at whatever amount is comfortable for you, and change that at any time as stretch goals unlock and become available. I would also like to point out that Boss Fight Studio set their "All-IN!" package start at the beginning at $500 for wave 1 of four figures, an exclusive 2 pack and another single exclusive figure along with a t-shirt and print. Very comparable in terms of initial offering.
In the end, pledge what you are willing to do, and feel free to change it up as things become more to your liking. We are just glad you are interested and willing to participate!
Thank you!Last updated:
If all stretch goals are unlocked for the entire KS campaign, you will be shipped the following items for your pledge:
Kicken' Chicken Vinyl Sticker
Territories Lawman figure
Trail Boss figure
Saloon Bartender figure
Ranch Hand figure
Beer Barrel & Mug Set
Head Honcho figure
Fire Brigadier figure
Create Your Own Outlaw figure
Create Your Own Cowboy figure
"All-IN!" Kickstarter exclusive Badlands Vigilante figure
5X Buck-A-Roos blank figures
Boot Hill Loot accessory & gear sets X10
The remaining rewards were not included with the all in as there are very late additions and they were not budgeted in at the price we'd been quoting almost from the beginning. As a pledge at the "All-IN!" level, you will be able to add those 2-packs and stagecoach onto your rewards package at a very discounted rate. The next FAQ question will have more details about the 2 packs, and the stagecoach purchases.
There are still a couple of mid-pledge levels that will be added as needed, but they are additional purchase items. I hope this answers your question, and if you need any more information, please feel free to ask! Thank you!Last updated:
Good question, somewhat deep answer.
The 2 packs were a very late addition to the campaign. They were conceptualized as stretch goals to fill the vast desert between the end of the regular figure offerings and the stagecoach tooling reward unlock. As such, those 2 two-packs will be an additional item made available as reward items at a discount for those who opted for the "All-IN!" reward level as we did NOT budget these items into the "All-IN!" price point. Everyone else will be able to choose those rewards as an addition at retail price.
We had a late cycle slight price increase in single carded figures due to a lowered print run (from 3000 per figure, to 2000 per figure) of all items to make our numbers more achievable, but with that came a financial penalty from the factory causing the price to rise on each figure, while lowering the amount of figures made and at the same time reducing the overall chance at costs recovery and any profit. We absorbed these additional costs on the "All-IN!" package as a gesture of good faith, but cannot financially add these two packs to the reward level due to that reason.
The two packs are limited run homages to a couple of specific moments in our shared history. I will add those specific details once we achieve our initial full funding goal for you guys to discuss and share.
The stagecoach is a bit of a different animal, as we've discussed openly and at length on the Facebook page. Due to the extremely high costs of development, sculpt and tooling of a crown jewel piece of this type, the pledge amount listed will only pay for the digital sculpts and tooling of the stagecoach, two static (1POA) horses and tack.
If you pledge in any way towards the campaign, the stage is available for later purchase at an increasingly larger discount based on your pledge level. If you pledge at the "All-IN!" level or higher, you would earn a 65% markdown on the retail purchase price for example. This does cut very deeply into any profit on this item, but we are willing to do that just to see that it gets made and as a "thank you" for helping us get it completed.
I hope that clearly answers your question, and if you have further inquiry, please ask and I'll be glad to clarify where needed. Thank you for your support!
A note of interest: If our funding goals vastly exceed anyone's expectations, we will swap out the single POA horses for the planned fully articulated versions and make purchase of singles of those equine figures available to all right away.Last updated:
Glad to answer!
These add on items are a very important part of what we are doing here, and the "All-IN!" pledge level itself. These pieces make it immediately possible for even a novice collector to simply customize the look and loadout of these figures to their personal tastes with almost no effort or advanced skill set.
Buck-A-Roos blanks are single plain figures with no heads, that have a single colored upper body (shirt and sleeves) with a painted neck and flesh molded hands, and a single color lower body (waist and legs) with complementary colored boots. The end purchaser can then very simply "pop-and-swap" the figures at the waist joint, to tailor the appearance of any figure as they see fit.
The minimal paint apps allow us to offer these customizer friendly figures for $15 each. There will be several color combinations to choose from with varying skin tones and builds to provide variety in your choices.
The Boot Hill Loot gear and accessory sets are 10 total combined packages of weapons and clothing/hats in colors not available on any of the regular series 1 figures. Each of the 5 BHL gear sets will contain 5 different combinations of firearms, holsters, gunbelts and other handheld items unique to those sets. Each of the 5 BHL accessory sets will contain 4 different pieces of clothing, hats, bandanas and stands in colors unique to these sets. These Boot Hill Loot sets will retail for $12 each.
Finally, but certainly not last, there will be an additional set of diorama based items featuring the beer barrel from the Saloon Bartender and 3 beer mugs with removable foam inserts. This 6 piece barrel is a unique accessory, and features a flip top lid with a beer tap and corresponding "Beer" text on one side (along with a horizontal keg rack), and the text "Pickles" on the other for display in an upright position. These fun accessory sets will be available for a $10 pledge per set.
All of the stretch goals listed here will be packed in a poly bag with a single fold header card to keep costs as low as possible for these items. The colors and assortments for each of these items will be shown as we get closer to unlocking these stretch goals.
Please let me know if you have further questions about any of these rewards, and thank you for your support!Last updated:
How do I add on additional items without incurring a heavy penalty for postage/pledge for multiples of the same figure?
Easy peazy lemon squeezy! Simply do some rough math as to what the total would be for the different pledge rewards you like, and pledge that dollar amount. When the campaign ends and the stretch goal unlocks are finalized, then you will receive a Backerkit survey that will allow to you allocate those funds as you see fit without adding a ridiculous amount of un-needed postage onto your budget.
I hope that explains, and please feel free to ask any more questions you have regarding shipping! Thank you for your support!Last updated:
Of course! For pretty much everyone, combined shipping on multiple items will not exceed $1.50 per part, and in many cases won't raise your shipping total at all! We are not here to try and profit any from shipping. That's not going to change. For information about pledging for multiple items, check out the FAQ with that in the title!Last updated:
Sure thing! Each two pack that we've added as extended goals focuses on a portrait or snapshot from Western history. They will be done in monochromatic colors and packaged in 4X8 window box to make them special and unique!
The first two pack (Wild Ones) will come in a box that is oriented portrait style, as that is what it will be! The box will resemble a picture frame, and it will be an homage to a vintage sepia tone photograph taken in Fort Worth Texas by a handful of outlaws while on the run from a posse! These famous gentlemen were so sure of themselves they thought stopping for a posed portrait was no big deal (and they got away with it!).
The figures in this box will be the Gunfighter and his best buddy, the Head Honcho painted in a sepia tone palette and posed in the style of photographs of that era. The final print run on this piece is TBD, but it will not be more than 1,000 pieces.
The second part of this little soiree' is the "Rabbit Ears" 2 pack! The box will be oriented horizontally, and be deco'd to resembled an old black and white television from the late '50s or early '60s from the heyday of Westerns on television.
The two characters in this pack will be the Create Your Own Cowboy and Create Your Own Outlaw done in gray-scale and posed in a shootout against a Western street backdrop inside the box. Our Cowboy will of course be wearing a white hat, and the Outlaw a black hat in this action figure morality tale. The final print run on this piece is TBD, but it will not be more than 1,000 pieces.
There you go! We will have some presentation images of the figures to show later on during the KS campaign and mock-up drawings of the boxes as well. Thank you for your support, and interests in these Dime Novel Legends!Last updated:
