• Durable board with a matted back
• 15 red and 15 blue high impact checkers with ridges for stacking
• 2 eight sided dice
• Instructions for playing the three premier games: Checkers, Gammon and Connection
• High quality plastic storage tray for playing pieces, dice, instructions and board game
• Sturdy telescope box for long lasting storage

GETTING STARTED:

Playing Checkers on the Chexagon Board is for 2 players, ages 6 and older. Greate news! Checkers played on the Chexagon Board uses the same rules as a traditional game of checkers.

Unfold the Chexagon Board and place it squarely between two players with the Chexagon Triangle positioned to the right, and single corner square #22 to the left. Each player places their thirteen checkers on the first three horizontal rows of the blue and red numbered squares nearest them. The two checkers left over are given to each player's opponent before the game begins.

OBJECT OF PLAYING CHECKERS ON THE CHEXAGON BOARD:

The object of the game is for a player to win by capturing all their opponent's checkers, or by blocking their opponent’s checkers so they cannot move.

• Play Gammon on the Chexagon Board with your kids and early grades students. Enjoy a game where math is fun. Watch them learn to use the math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division on each move. With nerves of steel it's all in the role of the dice and making the right move.

GETTING STARTED:

Playing Gammon on the Chexagon Board is for 2 players, ages 6 and older.

Take the Chexagon Board and unfold it between two players in the diamond position. The diamond position is with the Chexagon Triangle at the top and bottom of the board and diamond space #22 to the left and right.

OBJECTIVE OF PLAYING GAMMON ON THE CHEXAGON BOARD:

The game of Gammon is a calculating math game where each player is trying to remove all of their checkers from the board first to win. Alternating turns, and with the roll of the dice moves are made by.

PLACEMENT AND MOVES:

Each player places their 15 checkers on diamonds numbered 1-15.(row #1-#5, row #6-#12 and row #13-#15). Place a checker slightly to the right of each number on the diamond so that the number on each space can be clearly seen.

Each player will roll one dice, the highest number wins the roll and goes first.

The roll of the dice determine the move of a checker from one space to another open space on the board or the removal of a checker from the board.

You can move or remove from the board on each roll of the dicc.

By "number recognition":  Move a checkers based on it being the same number on the space moved because it is the same number on the dice. You roll a 4 and a 7 you can move or remove a checker from the 4 and 7 space.

You can add, subtract, multiply or divide the numbers on the two dice to move checker(s) to an open space on the board or remove checker(s) from the board.

There are three basic options for each roll of the two dice so that you can move a checker to an open space on the board or remove a checker from the board.

1. One or more checkers can be removed from the board, which is always the best first option.

2. One or more checkers can be moved to an open space on the board.  An "Open space" is a space on the board with no checker on it at the time of rolling the dice.

3. Lastly, a checker can Stay (not moved at all).

Compared to the game of Backgammon, Gammon is colorful run to fun with each roll of the dice.

GETTING STARTED:

Playing Connection on the Chexagon Board is for 2 players, ages 6 and older.

PLACEMENT AND MOVES:

Turn the board so that you each player has the Chexagon Triangle to their right and the single blue corner square numbered 22 to your the left. Each player arranges all fifteen of his or her checkers in three rows of five placed to the right side of the board. Players will need paper and a pencil for keeping score at the end of each round.

Each player alternate turns placing one of their 15 checkers on any one of the red or blue squares until all 30 checkers have been played.

When all checkers have been played onto the board the game is over and points are counted. The player with the most points is the winner of that round. Players play an odd number of 3 or more predetermined rounds to see who wins the game.

OBJECTIVE OF CONNECTION ON THE CHEXAGON BOARD:

A connection is four or more checkers in a straight line diagonally, horizontally or vertically on the red and blue squares.

PLAYERS DO NOT PLACE CHECKERS ON THE YELLOW SPACE. A connection that is horizontal or vertical will have yellow spaces in between the red and blue squares.

An initial connection must be a minimum of four checkers. A connection is an initial forty (40) point score, ten points for each checker. For every additional checker added onto an existing connection a player increases their score by 10 additional points.

When a blue square is part of a connection you double the score of the entire connection per each blue square. A forty (40) point connection with a blue square is doubled to eighty (80) points. A forty (40) point connection with two blue squares is doubled again to one hundred and sixty (160) points and so on.

You can play a goban type game on the Chexagon Board (Goban is a Japanese game played on a go board with players alternating and attempting to be first to place five counters in a row). It's just like the Connect Four game except with Connect Four you get four in a row and the game is over. But playing Connection on the Chexagon Board means you play all your 15 checkers onto the board and the highest score wins the round.

GETTING STARTED:

Playing Chess on the Chexagon Board is for 2 players, ages 6 and older. The Chexagon Board and Games does not come with chess pieces. But, you can use your own traditional chess pieces to play on the Chexagon Board. Get ready for the Chexagon Board and Games Deluxe Version that will come  with specially designed Chexagon theme chess pieces.

The Chexagon Board is unfolded between two  players with the Chexagon Triangle positioned to the right, and single corner square #22 to the left.

OBJECT OF PLAYING CHESS ON THE CHEXAGON BOARD:

Greate news again! Chess on the Chexagon Board is played with the same rules as a traditional chess games. The challenge is developing new skills as you play chess on the Chexagon Board with its "New Checkerboard Technology".

PLACEMENT AND MOVES:

There are exciting new moves for each traditional chess piece on the Chexagon Board.

KING- The king goes by its traditional moves, including moves onto the yellow triangle spaces. Castling is allowed onto the right yellow triangle between the king and its rook.

QUEEN- The queen goes by its traditional moves, including moves onto the yellow triangle spaces.

ROOK- The rook set to the right will be placed on a yellow triangle (or half square).

BISHOP- The bishop placed on the yellow space goes by its traditional moves, including moves onto the yellow triangle spaces. The bishop set on the red space can move only on red and blue diagonal spaces.

KNIGHT- The knight goes by its traditional moves, including moves onto the yellow triangle spaces.

PAWN- On the Chexagon Board the Pawn on the red square numbered 2 has the option of its initial move being straight forward one or two spaces or diagonal forward one of two spaces.

Foster-Johnson will also start the development of The Chexagon Board and Games Deluxe Version with chess pieces in 2019.

There has always been checkerboards in schools. Even the old one room schoolhouse. Move over, it's time for Chexagon. Teacher have found rewarding students with the challenging interaction of Chexagon builds brain muscles. Three Chexagon boards will engage 6 students.

Two, four, six, eight who do we appreciate? Chexagon in our  school, that's who. What parents and teachers will appreciate more is the building of math education with all tools necessary. Chexagon is at work, even when they are at play.

Chexagon wants to help remove the phrase, "I just not good at math" from our vocabulary. We can be good enough at math, that we can be great in so much more. In Science, Technology and engineering.  There is no STEM without th "M".

The master box of six games for any family gives you the ability to send Chexagon Board to your family and friends. Playing games with family and friends is about mentoring one generation to the next. What's great about Chexagon is that the next generation gets to mentor the older generation now.

The master box of six games allows any school to start a Chexagon Math Team and host their first Chexagon Connection Competition. You can go to chexagon.com to get more information on how to host you own competition. It's fund creating competitions with other classes in your school and with other schools in your school system.

Foster-Johnson will set aside a select 100 Chexagon Board and Games for game collectors. The sequential numbering with the creator's initial, the date of the 2018 Kickstarter Campaign is a one time opportunity.

The most daunting challenge is getting the 7,000 games (in our warehouse) shipped in the mail for those who want Chexagon as a Christmas gift. We are confident in getting the games to schools before the beginning of 2019 when students return after their Christmas break.

The deadline to begin shipping to our pledges is Tuesday, December 17, 2018. This date allow for Santa deliveries by the U.S. Postal Service. This will depend on the timing of the Kickstarter Campaign ending with success by Wednesday, November 28, 2018. The good news is that, the sooner the Kickstarter Campaign successfully complete its goal the sooner everyone will get their games.

Remember we are up against the Christmas mailing season and more people than ever before are shopping online and sending gift through the mail. Be sure that you give the correct address *DO NOT USE A P.O. BOX NUMBER* for your shipment, incorrect information will delay your delivery.
