“Hey Jake, it’s that time. We need to get an update out to Kickstarter.”
“yeah what do you want to say”
“Let’s showcase the missions we’ve designed. That’s fun.”
“which ones have you put together so far”
“There are four missions and the tutorial. 'Outpost' is about building a small base, which is a great first full-play mission. 'Cure' has the explorers developing and testing a vaccine for a horrible virus. 'Preserve', which is a backer commissioned mission, is about building a nature preserve on a virgin planet to satisfy the hyper-rich. 'Legal' is sort of an anti-mission, since you have to unexplore a planet for legal reasons.”
“glad we got a bunch”
“Yeah, it’s been nice how different the missions can feel without adding too many unique rules, despite being in the same base sandbox.”
“it’s like that was the goal or something”
“so are the pnp files online?”
"I mean, you know this, but all the content in the PnP files is meant for production; it's not optimized for print-and-play yet. We still need to do a version that requires less ink. I feel weird prioritizing that over getting the complete files ready for manufacturing. Like, we have a block of time when everything’s in China or on a boat. It makes sense to work on the PnP and other rewards in that span. People will understand, right?”
“We also still need start putting pictures in the rulebook. That’s at the top of our Trello board so we can get that in front of people soon.”
“Anyway, let’s start planning on Emerald City Comicon. We have a table with the Indie Game Showcase every day.”
“we should get a new prototype copy to show off all the design improvements i've done”
“Yeah, I need to order that tomorrow. I also need to pay rent tomorrow.”
“what day do you think it is?”
“It’s the 30th."
