Final 24 Hours
This is the final day of Far Away’s Kickstarter. Thank you everyone for helping us reach our goal. 24 hours from now, Far Away will be funded.
The campaign ends Sunday at 2pm PST. If you’re thinking of upgrading to a higher tier or picking up a second copy, now is the time.
Far Away will include 7 backer-missions and 17 backer-creatures (bringing the totals to 12 missions and 47 creatures - assuming those numbers hold). We’re thrilled to have such enthusiasm around our higher tiers. Our first game, Catalyst, had backer-coauthored campaigns. Those were the best stories; the synthesis of ideas let us spin the game in different, unexpected directions. Far Away is going to be that much weirder, funnier, and better thanks to you.
We’ve begun designing the missions we need to make ourselves. These include creating a space zoo for tourists, researching a disease cure without a control group, and “unexploring” a planet for legal purposes. By the end of the year, we’ll start sending out digital playtesting kits to backers so you can get insight and input into our design process.
We’re on track to end with more than our goal, but less than our next stretch goal post. While we’d love to upgrade the player tokens, we may not reach 25K. There’s room for a smaller improvement with the extra funds, so please leave your suggestions in the comments.
