Hello Kickstarter Backers!

Things have been busy in ChemKnits land lately. I have been filming so many new videos that my hand dyed yarn stash is bursting.  I just did a HUGE restock in the ChemKnitsCreations Etsy Store.  Sock, cotton, bulky, gradient, and speckled, there is a lot of variety in the restock.  When you purchase yarn from the Etsy store, not only do you get some stunning hand dyed yarn, but you are also helping me create more of the dyeing videos you love.

Dyepot Weekly Sponsorship

For the first time since the end of this Kickstarter campaign, I am thrilled to offer new sponsorship slots for future episodes of Dyepot Weekly!  These will work very similarly to the Bronze Sponsorship level from this campaign.  Dyepot Weekly Sponsors will get credit in the video itself with multiple shout outs and credit in the video description.  Once the video has been edited, Sponsors will receive one 100 g skein of yarn dyed in their episode.  Sponsorship starts at $50 (with upgrades for sock blanks or doubling the amount of yarn.  Learn more in the Dyepot Weekly Sponorship Listing.

Cellulose Week

I am preparing for a "Cellulose Week" featuring hand dyed cotton based yarns.   You can expect at least one video a day starting Monday June 18 at 8:30 AM with Dyepot Weekly #50.  In this video, I will examine 4 different variables when dyeing yarn with Tulip brand tie dye.  That's 16 different miniskeins!

I plan to play with a few different dye types and multiple of my favorite dyeing techniques.  I even got a stunning gradient yarn!

Natural Dyes

I have plans to start playing with my natural dyes SOON!  I'm waiting for the weather to get a little better, and then I am going to set up my very first indigo vat.  I know that one vat can dye a lot of fiber, so I'm going to try to be as prepared as possible to dye a LOT in this first attempt.

Thank You!

Thank you for all of your support and for Kickstarting this dyeing journey.  I am having so much fun creating these videos, and I hope that I might inspire you to dye along with me.

Best,
Rebecca from ChemKnits <3
