"From the Court to the Kitchen" is a new brand created by me which tells of my past and future. "From the Court to the Kitchen" simply fit because of my years of playing professional basketball which transitioned into my love of cooking!
Being a chef, I often go grocery shopping to purchase herbs and spices. I'd always get different spices, only to add to them to get more flavor. I decided to create my own line of spices based on my personal needs. I felt that many home cooks/chefs probably felt the same way. I began to blend, test, introduce, market and cook with my blend of spices. It was a big hit locally and online.
I now want to introduce my entire line of spices and am raising the funds to do so. My short and long term goal is to have my line of spices as a mainstay in every kitchen that I can touch.
All of my spice blends and sauces are low sodium and have no MSG. You can actually see and taste all of the time and love that has gone into creating every single bottle of spice. They are loaded with herbs and spices which give great flavor to any dish that you add them to.
Funds are currently being raised through Kickstarter to manufacture and produce the full line of spices listed below. It is my desire to place all of the product in mainstream grocery stores as well as stores that specialize in unique spice blends.

Suggested Uses: Add it to soups, salads, fish, chicken, lamb, beef, pork and just about every edible ingredient that you have! Add mayo or olive oil to the spices to make a delicious dipping sauce. Mix and match them to make a wonderful "new" flavor! You have hundreds of different combinations to work with! You can use the spices as a dry rub on your meat, fish and poultry or add olive oil to make a marinade or wet rub. Throw some on steaks, ribs and chicken and toss it on the grill. The flavors from grilling are absolutely delicious!
Risks and challenges
This project was created as a viable way to produce and manufacture my full line of spices, sell and showcase the spices at conventions and to finally get all of the spices in mainstream stores in the United States and in European countries as well. The risk associated with this project are minimal.
From the Court to the Kitchen's line of spices have been thoroughly tested, logo and brand are easily recognizable with both color and design, the labels are being developed and as well as the nutritional and ingredient panel. The manufacturer, Signature Seasonings, can fulfill any size order from 25 cases and up, with no limit. Delivery of large orders has not been a problem as well. Creating the full line of spices is the key for success while conventions and demonstrations would be the next important equation.

We don't currently have an anonymous pledge feature. You are free to choose any name you wish, though, so you could anonymize that way if you would like. Otherwise, we hope you're okay with showing your full name and support.
In some cases the reward can be traded for another. However, please contact me with any questions regarding trading one reward for another. I will try my best to make all of the rewards work for the backer.
While as a chef, author and artist I truly like showing off, that decision will completely be up to you. If you would like me to send your reward to someone else as a gift on your behalf, that will be my absolute pleasure!
Absolutely! You can donate as many times as you wish or you can increase the amount of your initial donation. You can make changes until the campaign ends. Once the campaign ends, no changes will be allowed.
For your pledge you will receive an autographed bottle of the spice of your choice as well as your name being mentioned in my next cookbook with a full list of all of the supporters of this project, which is scheduled for release in early 2014.
