Hello Hoard Backers,

I hope you're well and still happily playing Hoard. It's been selling like hotcakes Down Under. In fact, I had to order another print run, which was split with an Australian distributor. The North American market is proving more of a struggle, but our volunteer Heralds are working hard to get Hoard exposure and it's been available as a play-to-win item at many conventions. You can check this new page on Hoard's website for its upcoming appearances.

Meanwhile, Cheeky Parrot has another game on Kickstarter that might appeal to you--and thanks to those who already spotted and backed it!

Flaming Pyramids is a tile-laying game where everyone builds onto the same pyramid but each player is trying to be the first to get rid of their tiles. Collapses, fires, and even explosions are inevitable when the Building Regulations are broken, either on purpose or because of the luck of the draw. My favorite comment was from a player who said, "this game'll turn on you in a second."

Flaming Pyramids is for 2-6 players, age 8+ and one round plays in about 15 minutes. It's more strategic with fewer players and more random and silly with 5-6 so adapts well to different gaming groups and situations. Like Hoard, it will come in a compact magnet box. Here's some of the finished tile artwork which features native New Zealand flora and fauna:

Reviewer Jonathan Nelson writes: "I think fans of tile laying games like Carcassonne or simple card games like Hoard, should enjoy this one. Overall it’s simple, fast and fun. A great combination of fun and strategy." And Wolf of the Kwarenteen notes our game's similarity to Uno, which he doesn't like, but comments "I actually really, really dig this game, this game is super cool...because you add that spatial element."

The campaign runs for 9 more days and we're in that nail-biting middle phase. Please check it out and consider lending your support. Thank you!

I think word of mouth/game nights definitely help. I played this at one of my game nights, and one of my gamers immediately went out and got their own copy.
