Our pulchritudinous purple dice!

With everything nicely on track, I’m looking forward to escaping the New Zealand winter tomorrow for a week’s vacation with my husband, whom I must thank for helping me derive the net pledge amounts for accounting purposes for each of the 647 successful Hoard pledges. Kickstarter may look glamorous from the outside, but it sure entails lots of number-crunching. Thank you Chris! (I’ve probably made him blush.)

As much as I love spreadsheets and accounting programs, the most beautiful figures I've seen today are surely the ones in these photos of Hoard's custom dice, which literally just arrived via email. You'll remember the gold-on-purple color scheme was the overwhelming favorite chosen by the backers. Great choice! I hope you agree they look fantastic. And hats off to Beck for recommending the rich shades you see pictured here. So that's one component approved.

We're waiting now for a FedEx from China with digital proofs and white samples of the other bits. To expedite matters, these proofs will be sent directly to Tim and Beck for approval or for further dialogue with Whatz. Tim will be able to share photos of these via the Cheeky Parrot Facebook page during my brief absence.

Early next month we'll send the backer survey to collect everyone's mailing address. The next update will go out at the same time.

Those who pledged for a limited edition digital print: the print run is underway and Tim expects to get those signed and sent on their way to you within the next few weeks.

Our last bit of news is that final directions in English, French, Italian, and Spanish are now available for download via Hoard’s entry on BoardGameGeek. They’ve been formatted to print on A4 or 8.5 x 11 paper, with a font size that should make them easy on the eyes. Our gratitude to our diligent translators: Mylene M.C. Mercier, Fabio Piovesan, and Roberto Zaragoza Gascón.

That title sounds like something Dr. Smith from the old 'Lost in Space' would say.

I actually thought I understood English, until I read this update. Well played, Julia, had to look up what (the heck) meant "pulchritudinous"... I must agree though, it's really pretty. Happy holidays!
