Ready for Wellycon
Tomorrow morning first thing, the husband and I set off for Wellington, New Zealand's amazing and compact little capital city, home of the biggest and longest-standing Kiwi board-gaming event, Wellycon. We'll be joined there by Tim Kings-Lynne. We look forward to playing Hoard and chatting with attendees over the two days. Tim is also happy to talk art with those so inclined. In addition to his day job at Weta Digital, he illustrates for Pathfinder RPG and Shadowrun. And he is a super nice guy!
Overnight, I discovered that Tim reworked the scoring tokens and I hope you'll agree they are looking very sharp. Below you can see what the one-pointer now looks like.
It's actually a three day weekend coming up for us and I won't be back to HQ until Monday night NZ time. We're bringing a laptop and I expect to be able to log in and at least leave comments and answer any questions that might arise. I'll also be posting updates to the Cheeky Facebook page, so now I'm going to be cheeky and ask you, if you're a Facebook user, to pop over there and give us a like if you haven't already. I've posted the artwork for the 2-point token there as further inducement (and I think you can see that even if you don't have a Facebook account.)
Three day or not, I hope you have a great weekend.
