Unexploded Cow Backers:

Greetings! It's been a long time since we talked. Cheapass Games is going strong, with many new products, thanks to your help with our very first Kickstarter campaign. Unexploded Cow was reprinted this Spring and continues to do well, the first in a line of new evergreen products from Cheapass Games.

I'm writing to let you know about a Kickstarter campaign that's running right now. It's a reprint of BRAWL, a Cheapass game from 1999. This is a very different sort of game: a real-time card game where two players go as fast as they like, playing faster than a video game.

BRAWL has just passed its funding goal, and now we've given backers the chance to pick up advance copies of six new decks, along with reprints of the original six decks. The new expansion is called "Senior Year" and you can read all about it in the front page and updates.

We hope you'll take a moment to check out BRAWL, and thanks again for supporting Unexploded Cow!

Best wishes,

James Ernest, Cheapass Games

Final Week of Pairs

Good morning, Cow backers.

This is just a quick note to remind you that Pairs, the current Cheapass Games Kickstarter project, is starting its final week.

We have unlocked nearly all of our major stretch goals, so there will be as many as eleven different versions of Pairs to choose from, as well as a completely different game, FALLING. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Three Pairs decks based on Patrick Rothfuss' Name of the Wind series.
  • Professor Elemental Pairs deck by Unexploded Cow artist Cheyenne Wright
  • Decks by Echo Chernik, John Kovalic, and Phil Foglio
  • A new edition of the Cheapass Games classic real time card game, FALLING.

Please visit the campaign if you haven't already, and thanks for your support!

Pairs is Live!

Greetings, Unexploded Cow backers.

If you're also a backer of one of our other projects, I apologize for the double-mail. But I wanted to let you know that our newest Kickstarter project, Pairs, is online.

Pairs is a "New Classic Pub Game," a simple card game that plays in 5 minutes. The first deck is based on the fantasy world of Patrick Rothfuss, but more decks and even entire games (including a new edition of FALLING) will be added as stretch goals.

Please check it out, and thanks again for your support!

Get Lucky is Live!

Hi, Cow backers.

In case you haven't noticed (and sorry for the redundancy if you have), the Get Lucky Kickstarter project is live right now, at:

We're already very close to our basic funding goal, but of course we can use all the help we can get, to make the game components as good as they can be (and to unlock some fun stretch goals at the higher end).

Also, if you haven't tried it, take a look at our "New classic pub game," Pairs:

This is a totally free new game that you can try with your own cards (if you have three matching poker decks) or with our lovely print-and-play cards. Pairs is likely to be our next Kickstarter project, so this is like a sneak preview!

Take a look at these new games and tell all your friends!

Get Lucky is coming soon!

Howdy, cow backers.

This is just a quick reminder that our next Kickstarter project, Get Lucky, will be launching on Friday October 18.

Get Lucky is the Kill Doctor Lucky card game, a brand new game based on our extremely popular board game.

You can learn more about it at the Get Lucky product page at

And don't forget to subscribe to our newsletter for more updates and information from Cheapass Games!

Thanks, and we'll see you on Friday!
