Hello Team Cheapass! I never had hopes for Christmas but I am really hoping to receive this by Valentine's Day for gifting. Bearing in mind that I was around the 12,000th backer, what do you think my chances are? Thanks for your time.

@Scott Tracking emails will not be sent out; we don't have that level of automation, especially since we’re using multiple fulfillment houses to get rewards out as quickly as possible.

After fulfillment has been completed, if you have cause to be concerned about the status of your order, please contact us at that time. We can look up tracking manually. Please do keep in mind that there are 12,000+ backers and only three folks on Team Cheapass; we appreciate everyone's patience as we work overtime to help backers whose orders need attention. :)

Will we receive shipping confirmation once our boxes leave the fulfillment house?

Holy crap! YAY! Can't wait to get the finished product in my hands!

@Chris & Matthew ShipBob is one of our fulfillment services, yes. Carol split fulfillment between several fulfillment houses to allow us to get rewards out more quickly. :) -Cassidy

Chris Clark: I was going to ask that too :)

Are y'all using Shipbob, Inc. as your fullfillment service?

Two Weeks later - and still no PDF. This is ridiculous. If the PDF is ready - just give us a download link already. There are just 12,000 backers - not not all of us get the PDF. Bandwidth is not at all an issue.

As far as protecting it. It would be as simple as putting the PDF in a ZIP file that is password protected and sending the people who paid for it the link and the password. Or putting the file behind a log in on a website... Or a million other ways that people have delivered protected content on the internet over the last 20 years.

There is no reasonable explanation for why people who have paid for the PDF should be forced to wait this long to get it when we know full well that the book is completed. Just give us the link already. Why is this even an issue?

    11. Keith Pishnery on

@TomL what about everyone else? I don't think they have the bandwidth to organize something like that. Also the ebook is a separate purchase.

It would be very nice to those of us that are giving Tak as a Christmas gift to be able give them a print out or the PDF of the Companion Book. If Christmas isn't possible, Is it possible to make it available before New Years for those of us having a late Christmas.

Yay! Thanks for the update! That photo is great, the Classic Set looks so pretty! I'm getting really excited for January :) Thanks for all your hard work and attention to updates/comments/etc, it's much appreciated. Merry Christmas!

@Chad I've seen Dropbox fail miserably when used for Print and Play content for games with a much smaller scale of backers. Making sure the PDF can get to all backers without errors in downloading and only be downloaded by backers (not just anyone with the link) I believe proves to be surprisingly tricky.

    15. Chad Smith

Why is the PDF taking so long? Can't you just upload it to DropBox or something and send out the link to backers?
