If you are outside the United States, the short answer is "Yes."
Chances are strong that your home country will require you to pay import duties, based on the price you pay for the products you order. The rates differ from country to country, and it is up to you to know whether it's worth it for you to order directly from us, or whether you'll be happier to wait for our games to come to your local game store through distribution. Distributors pay duties as well, but on their discounted wholesale price. They are also able to save on costs through consolidated shipping.
We are law-abiding types, so please do not ask us to mark your reward as a "gift", either. You've paid us for it, so it counts as merchandise.
Carol Monahan, our VP and a veteran of international logistics, covers the the issue here:
Not really. The new cards will be a different size, the card backs will be different, etc. It would be impossible to match the cards from the last edition exactly, even if we wanted to, and we decided to overhaul the look of the cards (we think the new ones look great!)
If you wanted to put all the cards in sleeves, you could theoretically mix them together. The five edge colors haven't changed, and the basic mechanics are still the same. But the old cards are white-bordered and these are black, so it might be a hard tableau to look at!
