Wondering how the dial of a Rebel watch shines at night? The answer is luminous material that our watchmakers use on the dial to make the indices and/or hands shine in low-light condition. Our watchmakers use the BG-W9 lume material made by Super-LuminNova.
Please note that our watchmakers have applied the lume as follows:
Rebel-A (Automatic): lume on indices and hands
Rebel-AC (Automatic Chronograph) - lume on indices and hands
Rebel-DDC (Day Date Quartz Chrono) - lume on the watch handsLast updated:
To offer our watches at an accessible price to our fans, we have to produce X amount of timepieces to fill the MOQ (minimum quantity order) required by our manufacturers. Kickstarter allows us to pre-sell our new collections, giving us the buying power, and giving you, our fans, a major discount in return.Last updated:
What is Kickstarter?
Every project on Kickstarter must be creating something new to share with others. A project has a clear goal, like making a watch. A project will eventually be completed, and something will be produced by it.
What are the basics?
A project is a finite work with a clear goal that the creator would like to bring to life. Like the Rebel watch. A creator is the person or team behind the project idea, working to bring it to life, like Team LIV, here at LIV Watches. Backers are folks who pledge money to join creators in bringing projects to life. Rewards are a creator's chance to share a piece of their project with their backer community. In our case, we'll be offering Limited Edition watches to our backers.Last updated:
What forms of payment can I use to make a pledge on Kickstarter?
You can use a debit or credit card associated with Visa, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, or American Express.
Kickstarter does not currently accept Maestro or Visa Electron cards.
If using a pre-paid credit card, please make sure that the card has a value of at least $1 more than your pledge amount.
Can I pay with a check? Send cash by mail?
In order for your pledge to count towards a project's funding goal, you must pledge through the project page using a credit card.
Can I pledge with Paypal?
Kickstarter supports most major credit cards, but they do not support payment with Paypal at this time.Last updated:

LIV - Swiss Watches was established in 2012.
After being in the watch industry for 22+ years, Chaz realized there was a need for a new type of quality, precision watch, he set out to design watches that speak to the people who live life to the extreme, at a price point that would turn the industry on its head. He established LIV – Swiss Watches as a bold new brand for those who desire to live life to the fullest.
Chaz envisioned LIV as a brand that would be driven by the "Direct to Consumer" approach to really connect with fans and to price the products for the people, not the middlemen.
At the end of 2014, Team LIV launched with the LIV GX1 Swiss Quartz Chronograph on Kickstarter
The project was fully funded within the first 11 hours and had the most backers for a Swiss watch project on Kickstarter to date at the time.
Currently, this watch is available for purchase on our website, where you can also read customer reviews.
At the beginning of 2016, we launched the LIV GX1-A Swiss Automatic watch on Kickstarter, which received over 1.1 million dollars in funding!
In mid-2016, we launched a small production run LIV GX Base Swiss Watch on our website.
We have now launched the LIV Rebel Watch on Kickstarter.Last updated:

As much as we'd love to, unfortunately, we're unable to accommodate requests for specific limited edition numbers for the following reasons:
1. Because multiple people could ask for the same number, and we don't want to disappoint any of our fans.
2. Because fulfilling requests for Limited Edition numbers would be a logistical nightmare, trying to match every order to the correct number. As you can understand, once we're up to the fulfillment process, we want things to go as quickly as possible, so that we can get your watches out to you as fast as possible.Last updated:
The suede, rubber, and NATO straps are interchangeable. During the campaign, only the rubber straps will be offered. Additional straps will be offered at the end of the campaign.Last updated:

Some countries charge an import duty for purchasing an item from overseas; we wish we had the power to eliminate that tax or charge, but unfortunately, we don't :(. We will do everything we can to minimize the amount you will need to pay, but we can't guarantee how much you will need to pay. That's why we offer free shipping to international customers, to offset the cost of duties that your respective governments may charge you.Last updated:
Yes, straps and other accessories will be available once our campaign is over.Last updated:
We are proud of the watches we are offering and believe there is amazing value built into them. To keep things simple, and so that fans know exactly what they're getting when they pledge, we have decided not to go with stretch goals this time around.Last updated:

If you want multiple watches, you will need to calculate the total amount for all the watches you would like and then pledge that amount. For example, if you want a Rebel DDC ($370) and a Rebel Auto 3-hand ($440), then add the amounts of each watch together ($370 + $440 = $810), that will equal your pledge amount.Last updated:

The Rebel face is based on a stadium design, meaning that it has a gradual sloping concave ring that amazingly guides the eye to the middle of the dial, but leaves less room to work with. Therefore, the the dial must be kept super clean in order to look great.
The Automatic Chronograph: We played with many configurations, including adding the day window but it just did not look right, way too overcrowded and busy. What you see here is a perfect balance between clean design and function.
The Automatic Three Hand: This watch was designed from the get go as being as simple as possible. The clean center of the dial is what gives notice to the pyramid pattern step up plate and the large luminescent indexes that sit on it (and are carved into the concave ring). When we added the day window, it completely threw everything out of whack.
The Day-Date Chronograph: This watch features the Ronda Z60 movement which has the the day function built into the (9 PM) subdial.
We have have been working on these dials for more than a year, and what you see before you is what we believe to be a winning balance!Last updated:
