About this project

Never oversleep again. The NeverSnooze two-piece alarm clock won’t turn off until the alarm piece is reconnected with the magnetic base - forcing you to get out of bed to turn off the alarm.

Deactivate the alarm by setting the alarm on the base stand.
Deactivate the alarm by setting the alarm on the base stand.

NeverSnooze operates on a simple assumption: When waking up, the bed is your enemy and your starting place is your best friend. By placing the base piece in the bathroom, kitchen, or wherever you start your day, you're guaranteed to get far away from your comfy bed and get closer to a productive morning.

How it works

Place the alarm beside your bed and the base piece wherever you want to start your day. Use the display buttons to set the clock time and the alarm time, and to add up to three snoozes for the next morning (of course, only on the weekends). At the time you set, the alarm will go off and will continue to go off until placed on the base piece. The alarm uses a reed switch to detect the magnetic field created by the base piece. After detecting that magnetic field, the alarm will turn off.

Our goal with NeverSnooze was to create the simplest solution to one of life’s unsolved problems. We feel like waking up shouldn’t be complicated. It should be simple, efficient, and invigorating! Oh...and it shouldn't be expensive. Don't worry, we've got you covered.

Project Timeline

The Team:

Caleb Chamberlain is the founder of CHRobotics and inventor of the Hydra Power Supply, a product which raised $92,000 on Kickstarter in 2013. He’s the brains behind the brains of the NeverSnooze Alarm Clock.

Jared Reynolds is a mechanical engineer who created the current NeverSnooze design. He’ll continue to work hand in hand with Caleb to ensure a beautiful design comfortably houses NeverSnooze’s internal components.

Chadd Olesen is our marketing director. He handles all our media relations, marketing efforts, and advertising campaigns. He is also an executive at Plunk, a start-up based in Portland.

Chase Armstrong came up with the idea for the NeverSnooze Alarm Clock and formed the Ardivio Tech team. He manages the strategic partnerships that will enable us to move beyond the Kickstarter campaign and into the marketplace.

Want your very own early bird NeverSnooze?

Thanks for reading! As a thank you, anyone who posts about our project on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram and shares our Kickstarter video will get the NeverSnooze Alarm Clock at the early bird price ($30). Before backing our campaign, tell your friends about us on your favorite social media profile. Then take a screenshot of your post and email it to ardiviotech@gmail.com. We'll email you back and let you know a little secret: the exact date and time of a brand new batch of early bird alarm clocks, with one specifically for you.

Special thanks go out to Cris Hanks, Justin Beard, and Greg Williams for the script, filming, and editing. As well, to Brandon Carpenter and Caitlin Workman for being the stars of the show. Finally, to Lauren Koford, Wafiq Ali, and Chris Manning for creating/organizing our content on the Kickstarter page. Couldn’t have done this without you guys!

Risks and challenges

We’ll likely face some unexpected costs and time delays as we work toward fulfillment. However, Caleb has gone through this process before and both our cost estimates and our established timeline are conservative. We have overestimated everything to ensure we under promise and over deliver with fulfillment of your NeverSnooze Alarm Clock.
