Hexatope is a design system that allows you to design unique jewellery through intuitive interaction with a hexagonal grid, your designs are then hand-produced in my East London studio. Explore the web app now.
Hexatope is a visionary process that makes you the centre of the design process. You have complete control over your pieces, making for a truly personal experience.

Is there a limit to the size of my design?
There is a cap on the volume of metal in designs for rewards to ensure the material costs wouldn’t exceed the price of the custom rewards. You will be able to see if your design exceeds the limit if a red exclamation point shows after you’ve animated your design on the app. It’s a generous limit which is equivalent to the future retail price of £120 (incl. VAT) for silver/gold-plated designs. If you’d really like to get a design made which goes over the limit please email email@example.com and we can work it out.
Why only pendants?
2018 plans for Hexatope include earrings, rings, pins and even print materials, but currently the only item I have complete confidence in being able to produce for this campaign are the pendants, please follow Hexatope on social media and our mailing list to hear about future products.
What length is the chain?
You can chose between a 40cm(16”) or 45cm(18”) chain upon campaign completion.
Are the chains the same metal as the pendants?
Yes. Silver will have a sterling silver chain, gold-plated will have a gold-plated chain, and 18ct solid gold rewards will have an 18ct gold chain.
Are all the rewards hallmarked?
Only solid gold pieces will be hallmarked, but silver pieces can be hallmarked on request for an additional fee, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
I’ve designed my perfect pendant now! Can I save it?
The website doesn’t yet have any saving functionality but if you’re already happy with your design you can screenshot it and send that over at the end of the campaign instead of having to recreate your design.
Thanks for checking out Hexatope, I hope that you have a fun and creative time playing with the app even if you’re not able to back it at the moment.
I’d like to particularly thank Steven Bridges for helping me throughout the development of this campaign, Tomek for filming the stunning video and Michael Dean for editing it, Anna Holling for the gorgeous photos, Kristin Hall for modelling, and Diana Turchi for being so supportive. Additionally I’d like to thank Theo and the team at Just Castings for letting me film in their workshop, as well as Konstantin and Pete from the Department of Computing at Goldsmiths University for all their help over the last year, and especially to Lior Ben Gai, none of this would have happened without his guidance. To everybody that’s helped me along the way, I am so thankful that you believed in this project and in me, it’s a joy to be able to finally share it with the world.
Risks and challenges
I’ve been making Hexatope designs into metal for the past 6 months and have developed a reliable production process from preparing the 3D files for the printer to ensuring they are polished to perfection. As soon as I reach my funding goal I will purchase the 3D printer and continue refining that process in my own studio until your designs come in.
Rewards will be sent out in the order that they were backed (except for solid gold pieces that will be prioritised), so I can ensure that every backer up to the funding goal will receive their rewards by the end of January.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
