I backed at the ancient bog wood set and sent in one of the dice to be repaired and I haven't heard anything at all from you guys. I can tell that you received the dice on May 5th and haven't heard anything.
To clarify, I was one of the Petrified Wood backers, and when that fell through I placed the web order as an alternative (back in January). I realize my web order was complex, because I ordered a lot of different dice in place of the original petrified wood, so I'm trying to be patient. Still, it's been four months, and you could have shipped at least a partial order by now.
Sorry I'm not trying to be a pain, it's my own policy that is upsetting me. I'm just disappointed that it's even an issue. I see others have recieved / are receiving theirs and I am sure I'll get mine. I just wanted to have that inside track of really knowing the quality of what I'd be getting before going in again. As an "early adopter" I made the mistake of thinking I'd get to touch project 1, before the time limit for pledging for project 2 expires. I realize I could go on faith and just pledge, but -- and this isn't your fault, it's another kickstarter project -- I won't do that again. I'll just have to watch the website for the leftover / post kickstarter cool things, after my set gets here.
I still maintain that this was the most entertaining project I'd followed, the last night was great, I expect that might happen again. I changed my pledge three times trying to keep up with everything. I believe it's still the only project I've backed, but definitely the first, that actually squared it's initial goal.
@Dan- Charlie is working through the web orders now, I'll send you an email confirmation when they ship out.
@Renee- You have gotten nothing so far because you didn't fill out the survey for the better part of a year and then whined and complained about having to do it after I pointed out that we have no idea what dice you wanted or where to send them to without you filling out the survey. I see that you finally filled out the survey, and when I have shipped out every other order for the people who did bother to follow the process correctly, then, and only then, will I send out your order. Let me be crystal clear, I do not care if you are disappointed, when you act like a spoiled child, you don't get what you want faster.
@Derik- Dan is talking about a web order he placed, not the ABWCS. As much as we wanted to get these done earlier it just didn't work out that way, and we needed to get the new Kickstarter launched so we could bring in more money to buy better equipment. You are still going to get the ABWCS months before anyone on the new Kickstarter gets their rewards.
@Becky- I saw it, Charlie said he would get back with you as soon as he could, he's just been swamped with other things at the moment.
I emailed you yesterday re. my ABWCS. A response would be appreciated.
Renee - You can only fill out one survey. On the right hand side where the pledge level is highlighted, do you see a link that says "Your Response" ? Verify it was actually submitted there. Chances are right now that you'll need to still contact Charlie directly as the results file was probably downloaded a long time ago without your response and he'll have to manually go back in and find it.
Dan - I'd like to know too. I wish this had been fulfilled before the new project began. I have no idea what to expect from these. It looks like this company really took off after this Kickstarter, we did our job, and I'm glad for that, but I wished I could get the results of my pledge before a new campaign was launched. Probably just me being selfish, but it was a lot of money.
I have filled out the survey twice and I still do not have the dice that were promised. This project was scheduled to be finished a year ago. I sent you 27 dollars in good faith and have gotten NOTHING. I have not invested in any Kickstarter projects after it became clear that you are not honoring your agreement with me as a project funder. I am really disappointed.
@Josh- we can refinish it for you, just send it back to us in a taped up envelope.
Thanks I got my set. There was one little snag, the Sinker Redwood Lace Burl die was stuck in the box. The rest came out real easy. So I figured it got a little stick in transit and I hit the back side of the box and it did come out but a piece of the finish came off with it. Is there anything I can do?
@John- Nope, once we got it cut up it was just riddled with bark inclusions and other damage.
@fizz- nope, the Kauri I sent out was for the Kauri Backers, the website orders haven't gone out yet and we are currently waiting to get more Kauri wood in to fill those.
Just to know, my package left on april 7 together with the other kauri packages or it is still waiting?
Wow! One die from a whole log. Hope some of unusable was able to be repurposed.
Ok, so I'm shipping out 10 of the ABWCS tonight, the other 4 or so will go out as soon as we glue the boxes together. Unfortunately out of a whole log of the Buckeye Burl Drift Wood Charlie managed to salvage exactly one dice, so that spot will be empty until Charlie can find another bog to send you. We know ya'll have waited a long time for these sets so we're going to go ahead and send out the other eleven dice.
These are the people I'm sending out right now, will update as soon as the others go out.
Also... Most of these are not shipping with shirts, the package either didn't have room or we were out of the size need, we are going to order more soon and send them out separate.
Just a quick update, I'm sending out all of the Kauri level backers tonight except for one (sorry Peter you were the odd man out.) We had several boxes blow up and we have to make more of them. Charlie's still working on the ABWCS.
Please confirm that the ABWCS will be shipped to my Portland address when they go out. Thanks.
@Dan- No, none of them have shipped yet, they aren't finished.
This is confusing... So the dice have shipped or they haven't?
@Dan- Not yet, Charlie hasn't had time to get the sets finished up.
That's sound kind of final. Does that mean my dice have shipped?
@David- I will post one more update for the ABWCS/Kauri/Bois d'Rose people, but not any more for people who ordered off of the website. You will receive a tracking number for those orders when they are shipped as long as you put in your email address.
@Jayce- Nope, for all intents and purposes you can treat them as you do any of our other dice.
Anything special we should be doing to care for these dice?
Is there going to be a list of shipped items coming soon? I am still waiting for the other half of my stuff
Glad to see movement on the ABWCS!
@Kyle- If you aren't happy with any of your dice/boxes just send them back and we will replace them.
Kyle if you have problems I strongly recommend you contact Charlie directly. There is a contact email address on his website. Given how much these dice cost I would be really frustrated if I was unhappy with mine, so I hope you find an acceptable solution.
as a petrified wood backer I cannot in good faith back your second for the following reasons
1. Two of the dice box's lid's just fall off (and to be honest very warped)
2. One die is bigger than the all others
3. A couple dice has misplaced pips
3 This was supposed to be a gift
Fantastic! They look amazing, can't wait I see them and get into the brutal decision making process of the polyhedral KS. :)
