Nothing is more important to me than doing everything possible to get this game in backer hands before the holidays. It is a Christmas themed game so it is meant to be enjoyed during the holiday season, not in January or February (you can play it year round of course). Because of the timeline, I have chosen to manufacture the game in the US instead of China AND will be using a US based fulfillment partner. This will help us avoid the delays that plague many campaigns with cargo shipping across the ocean, port delays, multiple fulfillment locations, etc.
In the interest of time, we are not adding content related stretch goals as is common with many campaigns. This allows us to begin working with the manufacturer on delivering the art files and beginning the digital and physical proofing stage BEFORE the campaign ends. If you have unknown content stretch goals up until the end of the campaign, you generally have to wait until after the campaign to finish art and begin passing finished files to the manufacturer.
It may not sound like much, but shaving off a week or two here and a month there makes a drastic difference in getting the game out to backers quicker than what many of us as backers have grown accustomed to. I can assure you, no one feels a greater sense of urgency to move through each stage of the process with diligence and a focus on hitting our deadlines than I do.
