Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943 Village and Defensive Line Map Expansion (CEW00005, MSRP $55) is a map-based expansion to our fast-paced WWII-themed card game, Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943. It also expands a future game in the Spearpoint line, Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943 Eastern Front. The map expansion featured here takes the basic Spearpoint 1943 card game to a new level of tactical enjoyment for our fan base. Immersion is the goal as you dive into fictional intros by author Mark H. Walker, realistic artwork by German artist Marc von Martial, and well-tested rules that seamlessly tie it all together with the original game and its components. Don't have the base game? We've got you covered with Support Levels that include the original Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943 Game + the new Expansion (see "Major" and higher)!
Expansion Components Include:
- One gorgeous double-sided mounted map
- 18 double-sided die-cut 4" square terrain tiles
- 56 double-sided die-cut 1" square tracking counters (also useful in the base game)
- All new scenarios with fictional intros by author Mark H. Walker (of Lock N' Load Publishing)
- 2 quick-reference cards
- 1 score card
- A more in-depth rules set that covers terrain, line of sight, movement, aircraft flight paths, and more - all added to the well-tested core combat mechanics of Spearpoint 1943.
We are 90% ready for production. All final artwork by artist Marc von Martial is complete, the game is fully designed and well-tested, and we've been demonstrating the expansion prototype at every game convention we've attended in 2011 with nothing but compliments from gamers who have played a demo.
Our Kickstarter Videos
Please take a look at our intro video for this project (main video above) which covers the premise of the expansion and the basics of our kickstarter project. Also please check out the embedded video below that covers the expansion's components in detail. Both videos are hosted by the designer of the system and owner of Collins Epic Wargames LLC, Byron Collins.
Goals and Support Levels
We are seeking your help to bridge the funding gap between what funds we already have for the print run and what funds we lack (approx. $7500).
We are offering several levels of support from $5 on up and some cool perks for those who support us via this Kickstarter project. Some levels include the base game with the expansion, and there are variants for domestic USA shipping and international shipping, so please check out the levels listed and let us know if you have any questions. Note that shipping is included with each level of support listed- just please pick the correct one for your location (USA or international).
NEW - Stretch Goal Announced
$10,000 - If we reach this level by the end of the project, the expansion's artist Marc von Martial will create six additional double-sided 4" square die-cut Feature Tiles to add even more terrain options to this expansion. This would increase the game's terrain tiles from 18 to 24. In addition, we'll even poll you, our Kickstarter Backers, on which additional tiles should be included from a variety of potential additions.
Special Note to our Existing Preorder (P500) Supporters
If you have already preordered this expansion through Collins Epic Wargames’ P500 system directly (online or at a convention), your preorder is still good and is considered equivalent to a Support Level III or IV depending on your location (USA or international). Do nothing, and you will receive everything listed under Level III / IV, including the custom Line of Sight Tool and your name listed in the rules. However, if you would prefer to upgrade your existing preorder to a higher level shown here, please go ahead and place your kickstarter pledge and just let us know by e-mail if we need to modify or cancel your previous preorder (email@example.com).
