Hi! We're Christ Church Mayfair, a church in Central London looking to record our 2nd studio EP.
The music team at CCM has the vision of writing and recording songs to serve the church.
In 2016, we made our first ever EP, The Glory and the Crown. We learned a lot along the way, and we've been so thankful to see how God has taken those songs and used them for His glory. Songs from that project are being sung regularly in churches across the UK, and in America and Australia, too - praise God!
At the heart of it all, we really want to serve churches with songs that are singable, and help the gospel dwell richly in our hearts and minds. As well as making something that's great to listen to, we want to inspire church music teams to say: 'We can play that on Sunday' - and congregations to say: 'We really want to sing that!' We also want to serve churches by releasing sheet music and how-to videos on our web page: christchurchmayfair.org/music.
Since making our first EP, our team has taken on board all that we've learned, and we've been busy writing and re-writing songs, and working on fresh arrangements. Some, we've tried & tested in churches and at conferences over the past year and the response has excited us; some have never been heard, and we can't wait to share them with you.
Here's a demo version of one of the songs we'll be recording...
We're calling this project Making All Things New. As we've been writing, God has laid on our hearts the theme of eternity. Each of the 5 tracks (+ one exclusive bonus track) we're hoping to record talk about the eternity with God we have - and eagerly await - through Christ. The songs explore that theme, and help us to hold on until then. 'Making all things new' is a lyric from the track above, and echoes Jesus' words right at the end of the Bible...
Our team of professional musicians and engineers from the CCM church family is ready to hit go on the record button! All we need to do is make sure we have the funds.
This is where we rely on prayer and on your generosity. We've worked out that we'll need to raise £4,500 for this project, as well as a small amount raised from our first EP. Our budget is bigger this time around so that we can put the money you give towards getting the highest-quality capture and production. Here's a rough breakdown of our budget...
- Recording (musicians, engineers, etc.) - 32% (approx. £1440)
- Mixing & Post-Production - 55% (approx. £2475)
- Design & Distribution - 13% (approx. £585)
Here's a look at all the rewards on offer...
When can we hear it?
God-willing, we'll release the project in time for April 2018, where we'll be leading the music at a national conference.
We're so excited to see what God does with these songs! Please support us and make our goal of serving churches a reality.

Risks and challenges
Even though we've been working hard on this project already, this is a genuine fundraiser - we've done no recording yet, and the exact details of how and when depends on us reaching our funding goal.
Our musicians are ready to be in the studio either side of Christmas, and we should be able to release by April 2018. Delays can happen, and we've tried to budget and schedule carefully for that eventuality. We'll be sure to let you know of anything that could hold us up.
