War Titans is a cooperative game in which 2 to 4 Players face waves of Invaders controlled by the mechanics of the game itself. Every Player acts as the Pilot of a Titan, a powerful combat robot capable of facing the menace of the giant monsters. The aim of the game is to close the Rifts which the monsters are coming from and destroy as many Invaders as possible, trying to avoid flattening out the whole planet in the process!
Let’s take a look at the contents already unlocked for War Titans: Invaders Must Die!
Crawling Chaos Games is a group created at the start of 2016 from the passionate imagination of its founders for the board game world. In the same year, they are now introducing the project War Titans: Invaders Must Die! to the gamers community thanks to the collaboration with artists of the caliber of Jeffrey “Chamba” Cruz (http://thechamba.deviantart.com/), Eric Ou, Maichol Quinto (http://satibalzane.deviantart.com/), Javier Bordon Kuzminski (http://bordon.deviantart.com/) and with the wonderful sculptures of GREEBO GAMES (http://www.greebo-games.com/) a rising star in the miniature production world.
I clearly remember two years ago on New Year’s Day: I was inside a crowd of drunken people who were celebrating. it was around 5 a.m. when we were informed by a shocked journalist that the U.S. East Coast was being ravaged by some kind of monster. “Nonsense”, we thought, and kept on celebrating. We were so wrong…
Swarming out from several enormous dimensional Rifts, a horde of giant invaders, so different in shapes and sizes that they could never have come from the same species, had apparently decided the time had come to bring Humankind to extinction. They got damn close to it too! Two years went by after the first invasion, years in which two thirds of the Earth’s population was wiped out. In order to survive, every single nation left aside any ideal of independence and united under the flag of the Earth Federation, dividing cities into Metropoles and Refuges and attempting any possible strategy to stay alive, failing miserably...”
“But the game is not over yet: believe me, boy, we’ve still got an ace up our sleeves, and a big one too! We squeezed the brains all the egg heads we could find, invested all the resources this ball of mud could still provide and gave birth to Project Titans, creating incredible anthropomorphic war machines... glorious giant robots, do you get me? We formed a squad of Pilots chosen by flying skills, reflexes, compatibility with the new driving systems or only for their own foolish initiative, now the Titans are our last hope, boy... the last hope for Humanity!”
The game board represents the Earth, showing the Cities still standing where man can find shelter. It also presents the Rift spots from where the Invaders come. The duty of the Titans is to avoid the destruction of the Cities and to close the Rifts before the DEFCON Level reaches the Black Level: our extinction!
Each player controls one of the Pilots, men and women capable of commanding a powerful Titan: each one of them carries on his/her shoulders the responsibility of being the last protective shield for Humankind, but does it his/her own way, following his/her background and nature. This reflects in their skills: each Pilot has unique Special Abilities as is shown on the Pilot Cards.
The Titans! These Huge combat robots are the final weapon developed by the Earth Federation to fight the ravenous Invaders. Born from the talents of the Earth's nations, each one of them carries its own flag, though fighting to defend the entire Humanity. Each Titan Sheet shows the five Abilities that define a robot: Hit Points, Armor, Combat, Movement and Repair that the game system uses to resolve fights and checks. Each Titan also has a devastating special technique, its signature move: the Final Blow!
The Episode Cards run the game flow: each one of them shows the ideal episode of the Anime of which you are the lead characters. Each Episode Card indicates from which Rift and in what City the Invaders will attack, adding an unique effect to the game that makes each turn different from the others.
The Rift Token represents not only the geographic spot from where the Invaders swarm on Earth, but also the evil Tyrant that rules over it and must be stopped. A Tyrant is concealed until one of the Pilots challenges the Rift for the first time, thus always placing the players in front of new challenges.
The Invaders embody the nightmares of mankind. They are giant monsters of different sizes and shapes who leave only a trail of destruction and death on their path. Spawned from the Rifts, the Invaders belong to four groups, which are identifiable by the color on the Invader Pawn edges: blue for Amphibious, light grey for Mechanical, green for Terrestrial and purple for Flying. Each one of them has its unique abilities and background: the enemies of Humanity are indeed a formidable challenge!
The creativity of humanity, boosted by the threat of total annhilation, gave birth to prodigious new technologies gathered in the Tech Cards. These improvements are able to greatly increase the resistance, destructive power and efficency of the Titans equipped with them. When the science of Man meets up with the Tyrants' alien nature, this results in the Artifacts, miracolous instruments obtained by closing a Rift, which are key elements for ensuring victory.
When the last Rift falls under the the Titans' blows the time has come to face the Last Episode: a series of unique conclusive scenarios that challenge Players with new game dynamics and drastic choices. Will Humanity put an end to the cause of its fears, or will the Tyrants' insane plans succed? It's time for you to make the difference!
War Titans: Invaders Must Die contains the following components:
New Titan: ALPHA LEAD joins the battlefield!
The Universe was still young when the Cyberis population, extraordinary living machines, were inhabiting Mecha, their planet of origin. But war broke out; a corrupted faction of the Cyberis population rebelled against the established order, seeking to put an end to their own race. It was too late for an Intervention by the Shik’har’s. Among the Cyberis population there was only one of them still alive; Alpha Lead, a colossal robot warrior who was the leader of the loyalist forces. Alone, thirsting for justice and redemption, Alpha Lead joined the Shik’hars, soon becoming one of their most respected leaders. Having been awakened after the Rifts opened, Alpha Lead is ready to conduct the Titans in order to save humanity from the tragic destiny of his people.
This Titan has an unique game mechanic, It doesn’t need a Pilot but its original A.I. guides its own actions.
New Pilot: KANE MARS joins the battlefield!
Commander Kane Mars is one of the greatest heroes of the Earth Federation who served the United States as an astronaut and a soldier on the battlefield. With the creation of the Federation and the development of the Titan Project, his name was the first on the list among the people selected to operate inside such dangerous and expensive machines. Kane Mars has a keen personality and is a man of few words, he will do anything he can to bring back peace to this world. He hates the Invaders and is ready to sacrifice himself for humanity.
Kane Mars is the symbol of the American Resistance, and has joined the roster of the pilots at the service of the Earth Federation.
Solo Campaign: Jaguarion's Chronicles!
The rumble of Jaguarion starting its engines sounded like a mighty roar. The huge robot took off the ground slowly, as Mars piloted it beyond the hangar door with precision. Once he was out, the Commander took a deep breath and whispered to himself: “God Bless America”. The Jaguarion entered flight stance and dashed off in the sky, destination Los Angeles.
This splendid Solo Campaign tells the feats of the Mighty Marshal Jaguarion and his crew, all of them guided by the heroic Commander Kane Mars. Jaguarion's Chronicles includes the setup guide which leads the player through the innovative dynamics which will transform War Titans: Invaders Must Die also into a single player experience.
New Tyrant: Lurking Chaos!
He was the first to forsee the breaking of the Seal, and he’s sure he will be one to destroy it definitely. He has multiple forms but two of them are notorious to Humankind. He comes in the shape of a Human Being called Charles who seems to be a young man from a good family, whose voice is capable to subdue the minds of millions of people. The second one is a Cyclopic one, being a monster half a mile tall with tentacled extensions capable of destroying entire cities.
He’s one of the most ancient and terrifying nightmares of humanity that’s come to life! Add Lurking Chaos to your collection of Tyrants.
From now on, departing from our total of 902 Facebook likes, Twitter followers and Board Game Geek hearts, if you help us to reach the sum of 1402, you will unlock the pilot Alyssa Unryū Midway, and so on as shown below:

Risks and challenges
This is our first Kickstarter but before starting the project we tried to take every precaution necessary, not only to preseve our work and efforts but also to protect your investiment. In realizing War Titans: Invaders Must Die, we worked together with professional artists such as Jeffrey “Chamba” Cruz , Eric Ou, Maichol Quinto, Javier Bordon Kuzminski and with GREEBO Games a well known miniature production company that has already produced a Kickstarter campaign for Un-Renaissance with great success.
We’ll make every effort to respect the scheduled date but there are also delay-risks, as occur with any game product with Asia-based manufacturing, associated to transport and delivery to our warehouse. These are also routinely handled by our logistic staff, but unexpected delays due to customs clearance, strikes, exceptional weather are always possible, and they may influence the time necessary to deliver the games to our customers.
At Crawling Chaos Games we have done our best to minimize these risks as much as possible by studying production methods and other Kickstarters, and we are always happy to refund pledges if for some totally unforeseen reason the game can't be delivered at all. Since the game is almost complete, we don't believe this is in the least bit likely.
All pledges can be refunded up to 60 days after the end of the Kickstarter campaign, charges included, no questions asked. After which, we will be unable to refund you the charges incurred by Kickstarter (as we will not be refunded by them after this 60 day period)
However, if we’ve begun packaging your pledge for shipment (usually 4 to 6 weeks before the actual shipping date), no refunds are possible. If a component cannot be delivered AT ALL, we will refund that completely, including fees.
All refunds after the 60 days close of the campaign are processed via Paypal only. Refunds within 60 days are reversed via Stripe to your credit card.
This project is being funded in Euros and any refunds processed will be in Euros for the exact amount received in Euros, excluding any applicable fees depending on the time of the refund being processed.
