What Is This?
Clear Creek Brewing Company started as a dream 3 years ago. In the fall of 2011, Mike, Chris & Rob sat down and began to turn the dream into reality and Clear Creek Brewing began to take shape. We leased a building, put deposits down on equipment and threw caution to the wind. CCBC has always been a grass roots company and Kickstarter dovetails perfectly with that philosophy.
We are now in the middle of our complete remodel and your pledges will help us take this dream to completion. With your help we will be able to purchase the tables, chairs, glasses and fixtures needed so that you can share in our dream. This brewery is as much the community's as it is ours.
How Does This Work?
Pledging to our endeavor is simple: First you need to create a profile on Kickstarter, all you need is an email address.
Next create an account on Amazon if you don't already have one, this is where the payments are processed.
Remember, Kickstarter is an all or nothing gig! If we fall short of our $25,000 goal in 30 days, you aren't charged and we get nothing. But, if we go over our goal then we are even that much closer to making this dream a reality!
So tell your friends, your neighbors, your sister, crazy uncle Charlie, the guy down the street with the sweet mullet... the little old lady sitting next to you in traffic.
Tweet it, Like it, Pin it... whatever social media you're partial to... heck use all of them. Just get the word out and bring this dream to the beer starved citizens of Buffalo, WY!
A Little About Us
CCBC began as many do, three home brewers with a dream. Mike Engling, Chris Jones and Rob McCorkle began brewing to fill a void in the Northern Wyoming Beerscape.
Mike was born and raised in Glendo Wyoming. He attended college at the University of Wyoming and later moved to Portland Oregon to continue his education; there he grew to love and enjoy the hand crafted wines and microbrews of the region. Mike relocated his family to Buffalo in 2008, when he began work as a physical therapist.
Chris hails from Lander WY and is also a UW alumni. After college, Chris’ job took him to Denver where he was exposed to the exploding Colorado beer scene, when his love of craft beer and home brewing blossomed. Chris returned to his home state in 2008 when he and his family moved to Buffalo.
Rob called Cheyenne WY home, until high school, when his family moved to a suburb of Portland OR during the craft beer explosion of the late 1980’s to early 1990’s. Rob and his family decided to settle down in Buffalo after travelling extensively for work all over the country.
Mike and Chris met through their wives and shortly thereafter began brewing together, while Chris and Rob worked for the same company. It was only a matter of time before the three started down the slippery slope of brewing together and in 2009 hatched their plan to save Northern Wyoming from the dystopian beerscape it was.
A road trip to Fort Collins to tour New Belgium and Odell set the wheels in motion and Clear Creek Brewing Company was formed in June of 2010. The extract and pellets were soon replaced by all grain and whole leaf hops. The buckets and carboys made way for stainless brewing vessels and conicals.
Community support has been huge, as word (and taste) got out, CCBC began to move from dream to reality.
Clear Creek will only produce 200-400 BBL/YR in our first 2 years of production, operating out of a small tap house. We plan to expand within 5 years into a brewpub with restaurant, a kegging line and small bottling line for off-site sales.
