This project's funding goal was not reached on February 10, 2013.
About this project
[We] have recorded an LP's worth of material using garageband for recording software and a usb microphone. [We] have shot the video for [Dope Chic Remix] with the photo booth camera & edited it using imovie. [We] designed all of the merchandise for Dope Chic City with Adobe Photoshop and illustrator CS6. [We] have built the Dope Chic City app for iPhone and Android with Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.
This album has to be heard, the tour must be experienced and the app has to drop. That being said the rewards for the Dope Chic City project are individually creative and collectible. [We] designed the app features to be functional for us to share information about new tour dates and locations and make the album easy to download. [We] will press a limited amount of Vinyl LP's as rewards for our Dj homies to spin & for Old School Hip-Hop Heads that prefer to listen to Music on Vinyl. Plus [We] think that it would be "Dope" to have our 1st album on vinyl! The reason that [We] choose to develop an application is for greater interactivity with our supporters. [We] want to be able to invite them into Dope Chic City as members. [We] value micro-groups and collectives and [We] think that the best way of reaching others is to be inclusive. This is our way of including [You] in the creative process and getting feedback on what works during the creative process. New media has transformed our interactivity with music and this project will push the boundaries of how we continue to experience it. This project will serve as our bootprint as [We] continue on our journey of self discovery.
The money [You] help us raise for this project will allow us to access a professional studio, pay an engineer to mix and master our album, and record "crispy" vocals on Pro-Tools.

Risks and challenges
Once [We] are funded, this project will allow us to keep our integrity and expand our [Life Condition] using the "mystic law of cause and effect through sound". This project is a part of our higher mission to enhance African [Life Condition] as well as others on our path to enlightenment. [<---This needs to occur on a global scale].The challenges will be building and perpetuating a momentum in the U.S. With the pledges and rewards of live shows [We] are going to use those causes to be able to make the trip to Africa. There are risks associated with going to African Countries but [We] have connections to the people and organizations.
[You] will make this trip possible by getting us out in front of the people and in the places we need to be. Our challenge is tapping a reservoir of belief in our ability to effect change in this lifetime and in this form through this medium. That is our task and our mission at Dope Chic City.
Our project plan is to use the "social media startup kit " that [We] designed to spread the word in our social network of "Affiliates & Colleagues". [We] also host a free, monthly [Hip Hop Comedy Jam] in downtown Los Angeles where [We] will promote Dope Chic City in and out of our own personal spheres of influence.
This Album/Tour will have a heavy production schedule and rigorous work load ahead. Hey, thats ok because guess what [We] are pretty good at using project management software yay! The amount of funding required to pull this off is specifically based on each song needing an engineering effort on a vinyl album and booking Africa Tour dates [T.B.A]
[We] plan on building a tribe of constituents around Dope Chic City and [We] will use any means necessary including bribes and mob hits (just kidding). [We] are seriously focused and determined to make this project meet its goal and [We] have been planning rigorously for this Album/App/Tour to launch successfully.
[We] expect to be able order wholesale amounts of Tanks/Tees, Hoodies/Sweaters, and Panties/Boy-shorts from American Apparel LA. [We] will refer to the surveys to decide what sizes/colors to print and how many to order for prizes as well as tour merch.
[We] expect to use high quality vinyl printing for the records. The risk of building and launching the app are that [We] will have to test for bugs and compatibility to make sure that everyone can download the album. The pledge rewards [We] created are purposeful gifts that [We] can readily make and produce once funded. [You] will be receiving in rewards and other prizes from this project.
The Dope Chic City Tour of Africa expenses set aside for travel,[We] will book flights and be able to rent a van or a truck to make the tour trips with the funds. [We] also will want to rent lights and a HD camera to record footage of performances for the DVD. [We] are expecting that once this project is funded [We] can complete the album and launch the app while delivering dope rewards on tour. The DVD will be shipped out after all Africa tour dates have been completed, filmed and edited expected Fall 2013.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
