Direct messages are better for this sort of thing than comments, but here you go:
It is marked as delivered 11/29/13. It is not in the handful of boxes that came back undelivered either.
I never received mine. Do you have a tracking number?
Not really interested in this anymore. If you want to you can keep mine and just transfer me $50 back.
You get them in the app store, same as any other game. The dashboard, if it is completed, simply organizes them and makes it easier to launch them from a gamepad.
My top GameDock game recommendation is Gunslugs. :)
Thanks for sending them out. :) How does it work with the games? Do we need to buy them additionally or are they in some dashboard I didn't discover yet?
I'm sorry to hear it didn't meet your expectations. The games list is here: http://gamedock.tv/games.html
You may also look iCade compatible games, many of which are likely compatible. Thanks.
Worst investment ever. Got mine today (germany). Backed it up 1 year ago. Quality is miserable. All in all a total fail. I even don't have an iphone 4 anymore. The idea was good, but thats it. I am totally disappointed, but I've learned my lesson. Thanks guys! If anyone in germany is interested in this, I would deliver it for half the price. Btw: where are the promised games?
Unfortunately not. The 30-pin Lightning adapter doesn't pass through video. If you want your iPhone 5 to play games on the TV, you'll have to buy one of Apple's Lightning HDMI adapters. The controls go over bluetooth, however, so you'll be able to use the gamepads with whatever device you like.
is there gonna be a iphone 5 + adapter?
Markus, your box of 8 shipped out today. Thank your for your patience. Corey, I wasn't able to catch the address change in time. But they always come back to me if something goes awry, so at most it results in a little more waiting. Thank you for your patience too!
We're at 42% shipped. Should easily be over 50% by next week.
Somehow I got dropped from getting the updates on this project. Just got the shipping note but it was from an ancient address. Hopefully the mail forwarding will work at my office. Glad to see delivery coming!
I should also note that 100% of the PCBs are assembled. We're just pushing them through QA, which is our big bottleneck at this point. I've been unable to help due to a personal family matter. It's moving about as fast as it can until we can speedup the QA.
We'll be at 33% shipped by Monday. Markus, yours will ship out in this weekend set.
Almost a month since the 20%, and I, as a "official sponsor" haven't even received a note from a delivery service. Most of the people I wanted to give one to, don't even own a device with the old adapter anymore.
With every day not having the GameDock the value of my investment diminishes, so I ask you politely to speed up.
We're at about 20% shipped. Kickstarter update hopefully soon. Just very busy. :)
Send me an email at support (at) cascadiagames (dot) com. We can figure out what's going on.
Got mine only problem is not out putting to tv. I changed hdmi ports and cords still nothing on tv? Any ideas.....
We're a little behind. 10% shipped out as of yesterday. Should be about 33% shipped sometime mid next week. I'm literally testing / packaging right now. :)
So - who has his GameDock now? According to Cascadia around half of the backers should have it by now.
Things are humming along. Goal is 40% shipped by mid-month. I'll post another update soon.
On this I mean
Any updates this thanks?
First mini-batch assembled and ready to ship. Expect an update tonight (or tomorrow at latest). :)
If anyone's interested: I'm offering my early bird Gamedock for $79, will be shipped directly to you when it's available. Just contact me here on Kickstarter.
If things go as expected, GameDocks will start trickling out next week, then should ramp up quickly after that. I'll be sure to post an update as soon as I can get those first few out the door. :)
Yes! My wife just had our second child last week, so it's been a bit of chaos -- hence the delay in a new update. Basically, FunGizmos is validating the first production board panel. If it's all good, we start shipping immediately. If it's not -- well, I don't want to think about that because I think we've all had enough delays. Anyhow, as soon as I know those boards are good, I promise it'll be me working feverishly non-stop to get them delivered ASAP.
any news regarding delivery?
We'll have another update late this week or early next. I know it's been quiet but progress is being made, I promise.
This project has stretched out so long, it's no longer relevant to me anymore.
Thanks for the reply. I'll let you know when I get round to calling them.
I'm told you can activate the card by calling their international number: 918-858-9790. Let me know if there are still issues. Thanks!
Thanks for letting me know. I didn't see any limitations about non-US address when I ordered the cards. I just wrote them. I'll let folks know as soon as I find a solution.
Hi guys, Just got the visa gift card in the post. One problem though; I cannot register my UK address on the card as it is US address only. Any fixes for this problem?
I know the PCBs arrived. What I don't know is if the solder stencil arrived. That would be the last holdup before assembly on the boards starts. Once I know, I'll post another update.
any news? :)
Ha, well that's one way to put it. :)
Hopefully an update out this week. I've delayed posting one until we get confirmation that assembly of the circuit boards en masse has begun. Last I heard, delivery of a solder stencil was the holdup. So I'm just waiting for the good news as well. Everything else is ready and we're anxious to ship.
Hey guys, my e-mail inbox keeps not receiving your we are shipping e-mail! When are you going out, it's been a while???
SUPER close. We should be in the final couple of weeks of prep. I'll get an update out this week. I expect we'll be shipping by April 15. :)
any news on when the shippment will start.
Can't wait to get my hand on the GameDock.
FANTASTIC to see the cases finalised! The excitement I have for playing Cavorite on my TV is bizarrely irrational ;) I might go as far as saying I'm as excited for this as I am about the next gen consoles...and yes, I know that sounds crazy.
Also, I tend to do more real-time small updates on the twitter accounts @cascadiagames and @iosgamedock . Thanks!
The only hold up is the arrival of plastic case samples. Those are due to ship this week. We're doing a final fitting before I green-light circuit board production. If no issues, I'd estimate we ship by early February. If we need to make adjustments, then late February.
As a soon as I get a look at those samples, I'll post a big update. Everything else is basically ready to go. :)
Is there any update available for this or are we left to wonder what is happening?
I'm actually organizing all of that info right now. You can send it to support (at) cascadiagames (dot) com
Hello guys, is there a page/form where I can change my shipping address?
I'll get that question out as soon as I know if Christmas delivery is possible. Right now, everything is still being produced. I don't want to offer the option until it's officially available. Hopefully, more news on that soon.
Just received my survey & it mentioned nothing about Christmas Delivery.
We are still working hard. We'll have a real update soon. This week we are putting together the final PCB and case design for production. We are about a week behind schedule on that, but so far no major hiccups yet. We already have over 1,000 gamepads and 350 HDMI adapters on-hand. We hope to at least get domestic orders into backers' hands before Christmas and hopefully international as well.
We have the new brand and the new website goes up soon. In the interim, we have been taking pre-orders as well.
The iPhone 5 situation isn't as good. The games, dashboard app, and controllers will work. But apple's 30-pin adapter doesn't support the HDMI adapter. Folks who upgraded to an iPhone 5 will need to get the official lighting HDMI adapter. The GameDock sends its controls wirelessly. So you would plug your phone into its apadter directly rather than into the dock. It's frustrating but unfortunately we gambled on the adapter working and lost.
