Getting noticed in the music business takes more than talent. More than beauty. More than skill. It takes cash. And lots of it. It’s not something that artists talked about in the past. They either had the backing or they didn’t. Today the rules are pretty much the same although the platform for artists to raise backing has changed through sites like kickstarter.
And just so you know, $15k may seem like a lot of money to you, and it is for sure, however it is a modest amount if you are wanting to compete with the big dogs. And I do. I have been dreaming of this my entire life. It is what I feel in my heart I am supposed to be doing. Writing, performing, and sharing with you my very personal experiences and thoughts. I can’t imagine doing anything else.
The pledges offered here vary from $1 (hey, just throw me a bone!), $3000 to own my infamous red boots from The Voice (Sha-zamm!!!) to $5000 Executive Producer status (HELLO, you are my new BFF!!!!) I am excited to be including you in this project because I consider you a part of my musical family. You have been there for me, encouraged me, and supported me throughout this whole journey. Let’s see how far we can take this - TOGETHER. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my dream become a reality.
Risks and challenges
The biggest risk involved is that I don't reach my goal and cannot fund the project. That would be an enormous setback. I am sure I would find a way to record and release an album but it would take much much longer and would be harder to accomplish the goals I have set for myself. I know it will be challenging finishing this project and making sure everything is perfectly executed. I have a support system ready and willing to help throughout the process. I am being as proactive as possible to make this go as smoothly as it can.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
